    You were rifling through Kakashi’s things when you first saw it. The book was a blush pink, with beautiful Kanji decorating the front in elegant swirls. When you looked it over to see the author you almost dropped it. Jiraiya!? You could have sworn you’ve read all of his work. Despite what people had said he was a surprisingly good author, his penmanship getting you through despreate lonely nights. Why hadn’t you seen this on shelves? Why was the cover starkly different from his other works? You were absolutely going to find out.
   With the Hokage in Takigakure for a couple of days, you figured he wouldn’t miss the book. You placed the novel in one of the various pockets of your vest. It was an unorthodox use of the body flicker but it served you in finishing the tasks he’d ask of you. Plants were watered, trash was incinerated and his letters tidied. Anticipation burned underneath your skin. So much that you waved Genma off when you saw him on your way home through the market. Eager to get to your apartment and leaf through your find.
    Once out of your uniform you plopped onto your couch and turned the cover. You were a page in when you met the main character—the son of a distinguished samurai family. “Is this a self-insert” You mumbled, turning the page as the boy’s snowy locks were described, his eyes the shade of charcoal. The first two chapters were brief, mostly about the young boy's formative years when he trained and studied rigorously. His only reprieve was when he could steal away to play with the hounds.
    In the second chapter, he meets someone who the book only refers to as the seamstress’s daughter. A young girl his age, with a missing tooth, her small fingers covered in bandages. She didn’t know how to wield a tanto, didn’t know how to play shoji, and she didn’t know why her mother was so concerned when she bumped into the young lord. A clueless girl is what the samurai in training called her and he spent the entire summer trying to teach her what he knew. Whenever she wasn’t sewing buttons, she watched him train or squealed alongside him as they played with the pups.
     Their summer came to a close in the third chapter, after a training session landed her in the river, a weeping gash on her leg that left her in hysterics. They weren’t allowed to play together for the remainder of her stay. But the young lord would always sneak away to find her. Days before her departure he rushed into the workroom, her threaded needle dropped to the ground, and a gap tooth smile beamed at him as he showed her his new puppy. “Is that Pakkun?” You mumbled as the small pug was described. But soon he waved off his friend, clutching a lock of her hair.
      You jumped at the knock on your window. Your heartbeat settled when you noticed that it was Kurenai and her little girl. You had a bad habit of dropping your guard in Konoha, especially in your home.
       “Did you forget?” She asked once you opened.
       “Yeah, sorry” She looked down at your hand and you pulled up the book sheepishly. “Got distracted.” She rolled her eyes, a smile playing on her lips as she handed Mirai over.
       “Well don’t get too distracted, she already ate but if she gets fussy there’s a food pouch in here. I’ll be back as soon as I can. It’s just an escort to Shukuba.” She hands you over a bag and wraps her arms around your shoulders in a hug, careful of Mirai. “Thanks again for watching her.”
    “Don’t even worry about it.” You smiled, bouncing the baby in your arms. “Take care!” You’re then left with the little Sarutobi, her tiny fingers hooked into the fabric of your shirt, as she blinks up at you, babbling incoherently “Eeeee you're so cute!”
    Your reading is put on hold as you watch the little one. And as the hours tick by you grow a bit impatient. You don’t know when Kakashi is due to come back, he said a couple of days, and you're heading into the fourth tomorrow. Will he notice his missing book if he comes back early? What if you don’t finish it in time? Maybe you could make a substitute? But if he picks it up? This time you sense Kurenai before she arrives, Mirai hadn't fallen asleep in the time it took for her to come back and you weren’t comfortable with taking your eyes off her while she was in your care.
      “How was it?” You ask.
      “Uneventful. Hello, my love.” Mirai laughs when you hand her over and after a bit of chatter and ‘thank yous’ they leave. You lean against the door after, wondering what it’d be like to be fully responsible for a child. You don’t think you want to be a mother but if…
     “And that’s enough of that!” You cut your thoughts off, not imagining a life where you are your Hokage’s wife. Nope! You're not thinking of him!  “Ugghh! So what?! Who doesn’t think Kakashi is hot.” You mutter, grabbing the pink book from your desk. ‘It’s not like I want him or anything!’ You head into the bathroom and prick your finger, summoning the smallest speaking snake of your summons kin. “Should have done this earlier. Can you read this for me?”
     “You know that’s not what we’re for.” He sighs.
     “I’ll give you Takoyaki.”
     That’s all you had to say. Your summon clears his throat as you peel off your clothes to shower. In the following chapter, after the girl’s departure, he fulfilled his duty by becoming a Samurai. He meets new people and fights great battles with her hair keeping him company throughout his travels. It's during an escort that he finds himself in her hometown. And while his comrades celebrate with drinks he slinks off to find his old friend. He finds her at the shop he remembers her telling him about.
     She’s older he notes. “Obviously” You interrupt, lathering your hair with shampoo. Your summon frowns at you and you allow him to continue. The samurai is taken by her full smile, his heart racing when her arms bring him close. They reminisce about their childhood, trading stories he’s almost forgotten. He’s laughing, a bit embarrassed when she reminds him of when he jumped into a thorn bush to avoid being it. He had to meet the new Daimyo with torn trousers.
     Their time together was short as it always seemed to be. He promised to return the next day. But when he does he does not find her. Asking around he’s horrified to hear the news. He finds himself in the pleasure district a couple of towns over. The samurai is more than upset when he sees her painted face, climbing up the window to ask why she hadn’t told him of her financial troubles. His clueless friend. His secret love had just been sold to a brothel to pay off her father debt. His gambling addiction had almost cost them their store. She reassured him informing him that her contract was only for two years.
      He wasn’t pleased. If he’d have known she could have avoided this. He could have paid it off. He wouldn’t have asked for anything in return. Except perhaps a kiss.
      “Oh, now I get it.” You stepped out of the shower, strands still wet as your summon held the book open. “He commissioned it. That’s exactly the type of cheesy trope he’d like.” Still in your towel, you made good on your promise and heated some left-over Takoyaki. “They’re so much better fresh.”
        After the snack your summon left you and you settled into your bed to keep reading. The Samurai expressed his feelings letting his friend know the extent of his care. He would buy her contract, but she would not allow it, she would not burden her dear friend. She couldn’t fathom him spending so much for so little. And, he couldn’t understand why she was being so stubborn. He tells her she can pay him back if it’s too troublesome. ‘You don’t mean’ she stutters. You grin knowing where this is going.
      “Leave it to Jiraiya to find a way to get them to-” The next paragraph steals your attention, that is the exact color of your lips, skimming over the dialogue, your prediction comes true but you're not focused on that. You’re focused on the descriptions. And when the courtesan's clothes come off your jaw drops. It was like ‘staring’ into a mirror. She has your exact proportions, the Samurai ‘Kakashi’ your mind supplies, kisses down the expanse of her torso, down every dip and curve. And every scar, freckle, and blemish matches.
      You should’ve known since the beginning of the story. And your face burns when you keep reading, your teeth catching your bottom lip as you read about Kakashi ravishing you. You don’t hear your window open.
      “Ma~ That doesn’t belong to you.” You shriek, chucking the book at him before getting into a defensive stance. Kakashi’s dark eyes curve in amusement when he catches it.
       “Shit! Kakashi what the fuck!” The wind from the open window picks up the fabric of his white robes. “Fuck! I mean lord Hokage! Um, W-what brings you here?”
        He doesn’t answer, instead, he leafs through the half-read novel. “How far did you get?” You try to collect yourself, your fingers dig into the material of your towel as you grip it shut. Eyes flickering across your room as your brain tries to come up with something.
        “Um… K- T-the Samurai just got to Shukuba town.” You stutter.
        “Hm. It’s not called Shukuba in the book.”
        “Did I say that? I misspoke.” Your voice is strained, and the tips of your ears are on fire.
        “Did you?” He asked, stepping toward you. You can’t seem to focus on his face, your eyes dancing across his striking form. He’s closer now, so much so that you can feel the heat coming off his body. ‘Was he always this tall? And when the hell did he pull down his mask!?' ’ His fingers are cool against your cheek. And his deep voice saying your name snaps you from your trance. “I asked you something.”
        “What?” You’re breathless, and you look up at him clearly flustered. “Oh, No? I mean yes? What did you ask?” You feel his breath ghost across your lips when he laughs. His thumb comes under your chin when you try to look away. The vertical scar dragging down his left eye takes your focus and you steady yourself. You breathe out allowing Kakashi to take you in. You don’t know why you never noticed him looking at you like that. “We never um… That never happened when you came to see me in Shukuba town.”
       “No. No, It didn’t but I wanted it to.” He replies. “The disguise suited you. This suits you too.”
       “What this towel?” You snort.
       “I wasn’t talking about the towel.” Your brows furrow in question. “This expression.” You don’t get to reply, your words dying in your throat when his lips press to your forehead. You’re sure he could feel your temperature spike, and you gasp when his thigh slots in between your legs. “Suits you.”
       “Ka-Kakashi?”
       “Hm?” You can’t seem to concentrate under his intense stare.
       “So… You’ve liked me this whole time?” Your voice wavers.
        “This whole time.” He parrots, his cheeks dusted pink. “Sorry?” You can feel that he’s about to step back and your arms loop around his neck to keep him close.
        “Don’t apologize. I like you too.” Your grin is a bit shy and your heart is racing when his nose bumps against yours. Your mind is reeling, you can’t believe this is real but your thoughts are swiftly silenced when his lips press against yours. He’s barely pulled away when your brining him back, tilting your head to deepen the kiss. Your gasping into his mouth when his tongue licks into your mouth. His fingers are at the back of your head pressing you closer, his other hand trailing down your side. His fingers squeeze your soft flesh, swallowing your soft moans.
       You tug at the zipper on his vest, and he pulls back his face flushed, pupils dilated. He lets you zip down the zipper, his hands on the fold of your towel. “Can I?” You nod allowing him to pull the fabric, letting it slide down your body onto the floor. He’s on you in seconds, your back making contact with the sheets of your bed. You're helping him pull off his clothes between kisses and you can’t help but ask. “Can.. Can I finish the book later?”
      “Why?” He hums against your jaw.
      “Mmm What do you mean why?” You sigh, when his calloused palms massage your breasts. “I wanna know how it ends” You finish your sentence against his lips, His soft chuckle causes them to brush against his.
       “It ends like this.” he smiles, and his fingers send shivers down your spine when he trails them down your sides. His bare skin sliding across yours almost makes you forget to ask.
       “Like wha-”
        His next kiss is sweet, unhurried, and devout. And he pulls back to gaze into your eyes. “You’re so clueless sometimes.” His eyes are two small crescents “It ends with me and you.” He presses another fiery kiss to your lips with a sigh. “Together.”

Jiraiya loves how inexperienced and naïve his little girl is, completely unaware of the filth and sinew that plagues this mortal world. Even now as a young adult, you’ve not yet even kissed a boy. You’ve kissed your daddy, of course, but he says that doesn’t count!
He reads parts of his stories to you, he tells you that you’re his biggest inspiration and pinches the big smile on your cheeks
You always fluster so sweet when Jiraiya calls you his muse. “Really Daddy?” You’ll ask with soft, wanton eyes. And he’ll coo you and tell you that you’re so much more too. That you’re the dedication on every book’s first page, that you’re Daddy’s proof of concept.
“I wouldn’t know anything about love if it weren’t for you, Princess.”
Daddy needs you, you’re integral to his work, so when he asks you to follow him out to the hot spring and spend some alone time with him, you don’t think anything of it. He tells you he’s got an idea for his next book, but wants to do some ‘workshopping’ with the plot.
“Two lovers find themselves at a little inn out in the sticks, it’s secluded, and quiet, and there’s no one around for miles.” You preen at his words, his fingers helping you out of your fluffy robe and attaching to your bare skin, “Doesn’t that sound romantic?”
He tells you that boyfriends are supposed to treat their girlfriends like Daddy treats you. “Does that mean you’re my boyfriend, Daddy?” Your voice is so pure and clueless, Jiraiya could melt and evaporate into the steam surrounding you.
“Oh my sweet girl,” Daddy pulls you into his lap, you can feel something long and thick against your stomach, “of course I am.”
The water and the heat between your two bodies is making you dizzy, and your head falls into Daddy’s neck. Jiraiya strokes your back with his fingers, stopping right before the curve of your ass. His touch makes you squirm, and the light contact becomes a guiding hand— pushing you down to grind on Daddy’s cock.
“Do you want me to show you what else boyfriends do?” Daddy whispers in your ear, and you whimper an answer that only kind of sounds like a “y- yes please”
When Jiraiya’s fingers dip down under the water and pinch at your poor little clit, you can’t hold in the loud, confused whining. Daddy hushes into your hair, whispering sweet words of encouragement to start moving your hips however feels good. Your movements are clumsy and tepid, but your daddy is a patient man, he can afford all the time left in the world to teach you all kinds of new things.
And he’ll dedicate his next book to the sweet little girl from the hot spring.

A New Tide / Sakura Haruno x Hoshigaki! Female Reader
Tumblr media
(Y/N) Hoshigaki, the daughter of Kisame, arrives in Konoha as part of an exchange program during the time skip. She’s assigned to Sakura’s team, but the partnership starts on rocky ground. Sakura resents (Y/N) at first, seeing her as an unwelcome replacement for the missing Sasuke, and tensions run high between them.
Word count: 5029
Warning: soft angst. Fluff.
A/n: This was requested by an anon. Enjoy it!
The breeze through Konoha was crisp, the scent of autumn leaves mixing with distant wood smoke. Sakura Haruno stood with her arms crossed, emerald eyes narrowed as she sized up the new addition to her team—a shark-like grin plastered on the face of Hoshigaki (Y/N), Kisame’s daughter.
Sakura hated this.
Kakashi-sensei had framed it as an exchange program to foster peace between villages after the chaos of the Akatsuki, but all Sakura saw was a replacement—another teammate coming in to fill the void left by Naruto’s training trip with Jiraiya and Sasuke’s defection. And worse, it wasn’t just anyone—it was the daughter of that man, the one allied with Itachi, Sasuke’s captor.
Sakura tugged her gloves tighter over her hands. “Let’s get one thing straight,” she muttered, low enough for only (Y/N) to hear. “I don’t care what kind of arrangement Konoha made. I don’t trust you. So stay out of my way, and we won’t have a problem.”
(Y/N) blinked, unfazed, then shrugged with an easy, toothy grin. “Got it, princess.”
The nickname made Sakura’s eye twitch, but before she could respond, Kakashi waved them over.
Their first few missions together were… rocky, to say the least.
(Y/N) was everything Sakura wasn’t used to—playful, unpredictable, and reckless. Where Sakura preferred precision and structure, (Y/N) dove headfirst into danger with a grin, her chakra-heavy water attacks leaving destruction in their wake. She was strong, yes, but infuriatingly so, as if her entire life had been spent testing the limits of her strength just for fun.
“Could you not drench everything we’re trying to save?” Sakura snapped after one mission where (Y/N)’s water jutsu flooded an entire merchant cart they were supposed to protect.
(Y/N) gave a nonchalant shrug, slinging her massive sword—one that looked suspiciously like a smaller version of Samehada—over her shoulder. “No one got hurt, did they? I call that a win.”
Sakura groaned, pinching the bridge of her nose. “How can you be so careless?”
But beneath her annoyance, something else started to take root—a grudging respect. (Y/N) might have been wild, but she was dependable in her chaotic way. During a particularly nasty ambush, Sakura had been caught off guard, and cornered by two rogue shinobi. In an instant, (Y/N) was there, her movements fluid and efficient. A burst of water surged from her palms, sweeping the enemies away as if they were nothing more than leaves in a stream.
“See? Told you I had your back,” (Y/N) said with a wink, her sharp grin softening just a little.
And just like that, the walls Sakura had built began to crack.
Days turned to weeks, and soon Sakura found herself anticipating (Y/N)’s antics more than dreading them. There was a strange comfort in their arguments—a rhythm to the push and pull between them. (Y/N) teased constantly, but there was never any malice in her words, only a playful warmth that made Sakura’s heart feel lighter.
The real change came one quiet evening after training. The sky was painted in deep purples and gold as they sat side by side under a tree, the cool breeze brushing through their hair. (Y/N) leaned back, hands resting behind her head as she looked up at the darkening sky.
“Do you ever wonder what it would be like to live somewhere else?” she asked softly.
Sakura tilted her head, surprised by the question. “What do you mean?”
(Y/N) gave a half-smile, a rare flicker of vulnerability flashing across her face. “I mean… to belong somewhere. My whole life, it’s just been about following orders—doing what’s expected of me. I don’t know what it’s like to stay somewhere because I want to.”
Sakura felt a strange ache in her chest at those words. She understood that longing more than she cared to admit—the feeling of being adrift, trying to find meaning in a world that kept shifting beneath her feet.
“You belong here,” Sakura said before she could stop herself.
(Y/N) turned to look at her, her silver-blue eyes catching the fading light. “Do I?”
Sakura’s breath caught the words tangling in her throat. There was something in (Y/N)’s gaze—something tender and unsure as if she was searching for permission to hope.
Without thinking, Sakura reached out, her hand brushing against (Y/N)’s. The contact was brief, but it sent a spark through both of them, a silent promise that neither of them fully understood yet.
“Yes,” Sakura whispered. “You do.”
———————
After that night, everything between them shifted.
Their banter became less sharp, their glances lingering just a little longer. In the quiet moments between missions, Sakura found herself drawn closer to (Y/N), her heart aching in ways she hadn’t expected. It wasn’t just admiration or companionship—it was something deeper, something that made her feel breathless and alive all at once.
(Y/N) seemed to feel it too. Her teasing softened, and when they were alone, the mask of bravado she wore slipped away, revealing a gentleness that Sakura hadn’t seen before.
One rainy afternoon, as they sat huddled beneath the awning of a tea shop, (Y/N) leaned in closer, her voice low and intimate. “You know… if you asked me to stay, I would.”
Sakura’s heart stuttered in her chest. “What?”
(Y/N) gave her a small, almost shy smile. “I think… I finally found a reason to stop running.”
For a moment, Sakura couldn’t breathe. The world around them faded, leaving only the sound of the rain and the steady beat of her heart.
Then, with a surge of courage she didn’t know she had, Sakura closed the distance between them, pressing her lips to (Y/N)’s in a kiss that tasted like rain and promises.
When they finally pulled away, (Y/N) rested her forehead against Sakura’s, her breath warm against her skin.
“So, is that a yes?” she whispered.
Sakura smiled, her heart full for the first time in a long time. “Yes,” she whispered back. “Stay with me.”
And for the first time in her life, (Y/N) felt like she had finally come home.
After that kiss, everything between Sakura and (Y/N) seemed to shift effortlessly, as if a knot had finally come undone. The awkwardness Sakura feared never appeared; instead, their connection grew deeper, an unspoken understanding flowing between them like a river finding its course.
But, of course, the world around them didn’t stop. Missions continued, routines remained, and the shinobi life offered little space for romance. Yet, even in stolen moments—whether it was brushing hands during training or a quiet night walk along the village walls—Sakura found solace in (Y/N)’s presence. It was a strange, unexpected comfort that made her world feel more bearable.
And it made her realize just how terrified she was of losing it.
——————-
One morning, the sky above Konoha was overcast, with thick clouds promising rain. Team Kakashi had just completed a simple patrol mission, and as they regrouped at the gate, Kakashi lingered back, flipping through one of his infamous books.
“Good work today,” Kakashi said lazily, his eye crinkling in a way that hinted he knew more than he let on. “(Y/N), I’ll need to see you later at the Hokage’s office for a report.”
(Y/N)’s casual smirk faltered ever so slightly, but she gave a mock salute. “Got it, Sensei.”
Sakura watched the exchange with a growing knot in her stomach. It was rare for Tsunade to request personal reports unless there was something specific going on—something official.
“What’s that about?” Sakura asked the moment Kakashi was out of earshot.
(Y/N) scratched the back of her neck, looking uncharacteristically serious. “Probably nothing. Might just be a check-in with my village.”
Sakura’s stomach churned. “So… they’re calling you back?”
(Y/N) shrugged, trying to play it off, but Sakura could see the uncertainty in her eyes. “Could be. It was part of the deal, right? Temporary exchange and all that.”
Sakura’s heart dropped. She knew this moment might come—the agreement between their villages had always been temporary. But now that it was looming over them, the thought of (Y/N) leaving felt like a weight pressing against her chest.
“What if they don’t give you a choice?” Sakura asked, her voice quieter than she intended.
For the first time, (Y/N) didn’t have an easy answer. She hesitated, her silver-blue eyes clouded with something unreadable. “Then… I guess I’ll have to decide what matters most.”
Later that evening, Sakura found herself standing in front of the Hokage’s Tower, nerves twisting in her gut. She knew it wasn’t her place to interfere, but the thought of (Y/N) leaving gnawed at her. She couldn’t just sit back and let it happen—not without a fight.
Before she could talk herself out of it, Sakura marched up the steps and into Tsunade’s office.
Inside, (Y/N) was already there, standing stiffly in front of Tsunade’s desk, her usual grin nowhere to be found. The tension in the room was palpable, and when both Tsunade and (Y/N) turned to look at her, Sakura swallowed hard.
“Sakura?” Tsunade raised an eyebrow, looking mildly annoyed. “Is there a reason you’re barging in on a private meeting?”
Sakura clenched her fists at her sides. “I need to say something. Please.”
Tsunade sighed but gestured for her to speak.
Sakura turned to (Y/N), her heart pounding in her chest. “I know this wasn’t supposed to be permanent. I know you were only sent here for a mission. But… I can’t let you leave without telling you how much you mean to me.”
(Y/N)’s eyes widened slightly, and for once, the usually cocky kunoichi was rendered speechless.
“I’ve spent my whole life feeling like I wasn’t enough,” Sakura continued, her voice cracking slightly. “I lost Sasuke, and for so long, I thought that was the only thing that mattered. But then you came into my life, and everything changed. You made me see that there’s more to life than chasing ghosts. You made me feel… whole.”
Tsunade’s expression softened ever so slightly, but Sakura barely noticed—her entire world had narrowed down to (Y/N), standing just a few feet away with an unreadable look on her face.
“Stay,” Sakura whispered. “Please.”
For a moment, everything was silent. Then, slowly, (Y/N) stepped forward, closing the distance between them. She reached out and gently cupped Sakura’s face, her thumb brushing away a tear Sakura hadn’t realized she’d shed.
“Hey,” (Y/N) murmured, her voice low and tender. “You don’t have to convince me. I already made my choice.”
Sakura blinked, breath hitching as (Y/N) leaned in, pressing a soft, lingering kiss to her forehead.
“I’m staying,” (Y/N) whispered against her skin. “No matter what.”
By the time they left the Hokage’s office, the rain had started, a gentle drizzle that painted the streets in a soft shimmer.
They walked together in comfortable silence, the weight of the earlier conversation lifted, leaving only a quiet contentment between them. Sakura’s heart felt lighter than it had in years, and for the first time in a long time, the future didn’t seem so daunting.
As they reached the edge of the training grounds, (Y/N) suddenly grabbed Sakura’s hand, lacing their fingers together.
“You know,” (Y/N) said with a grin, “if I’m going to be stuck here, you’re going to have to keep up with me, princess.”
Sakura rolled her eyes, but there was no heat behind it—only warmth. “You’re impossible.”
“And you love it.”
Sakura smiled, squeezing (Y/N)’s hand as they continued walking through the rain.
“Yeah,” she said softly. “I really do.”
And for once, everything felt exactly as it should be.
———————-
The days following (Y/N)’s decision to stay in Konoha felt surreal—like a dream Sakura didn’t want to wake from. The two of them slipped into a rhythm, a delicate balance between their duties as shinobi and the quiet moments they shared when no one was watching. But beneath the surface of their growing relationship, Sakura couldn’t shake the nagging worry that things couldn’t stay this perfect forever.
After all, shinobi weren’t meant to have peaceful lives.
One evening, the two of them sat on a grassy hill overlooking Konoha, the village lights flickering like stars below. Sakura rested her head against (Y/N)’s shoulder, the warmth of her body keeping the chill of the autumn night at bay. They hadn’t spoken for a while—no words were needed—but Sakura knew (Y/N) was lost in thought. She could feel it in the way her fingers drummed rhythmically against the hilt of her sword, like she was working through something in her mind.
“Penny for your thoughts?” Sakura asked, her voice soft.
(Y/N) huffed a quiet laugh. “I was just thinking… about my father.”
Sakura stiffened slightly, but she didn’t pull away. She knew this was a subject (Y/N) rarely touched—Kisame Hoshigaki, the infamous Monster of the Hidden Mist, wasn’t exactly an easy topic.
“I’ve spent my whole life being told who I’m supposed to be because of him,” (Y/N) continued, her voice quiet but steady. “It’s like… no one ever thought to ask me what I wanted. I think… that’s why I always kept moving. So no one could pin me down. So I wouldn’t have to face the question.”
Sakura lifted her head, her hand slipping into (Y/N)’s. “And what do you want now?”
(Y/N) looked down at their joined hands, a small smile tugging at the corners of her lips. “I want this,” she whispered. “You. Here. Us.”
Sakura’s heart ached in the best way possible. She knew that for someone like (Y/N), admitting that she wanted to stay—choosing to stay—was no small thing. It was a leap of faith, just like their relationship.
“And what if someone from your past comes looking for you?” Sakura asked quietly, voicing the fear that had been gnawing at her since (Y/N) decided to stay.
(Y/N) gave her a lopsided grin, her shark-like teeth glinting in the moonlight. “Then they’ll have to go through you first, right?”
Sakura snorted, but the warmth in her chest didn’t fade. “Damn right.”
The next morning, Sakura found herself at the training grounds, stretching beneath the rising sun. She knew (Y/N) would meet her soon, but for now, she enjoyed the quiet moments alone.
Just as she finished tying her gloves, she felt a familiar presence approaching—a rush of cool air and the distinct scent of saltwater.
“You’re late,” Sakura called without turning around.
(Y/N) laughed as she stepped into view, her silver-blue eyes gleaming with mischief. “You’re just early, princess.”
Sakura rolled her eyes, but a smile tugged at her lips. She had gotten used to the teasing, even found it endearing in a way she never thought possible.
They spent the morning sparring, chakra flowing through their fists and water, each movement sharp and deliberate. They danced around each other like they had done this a thousand times—dodging, blocking, countering. But this time, it was different. It wasn’t just a fight—it was a conversation without words, a way to connect.
“Getting slow, Sakura!” (Y/N) taunted, narrowly dodging a powerful punch.
Sakura smirked. “Just waiting for you to slip up.”
And when (Y/N) did—just a brief misstep—Sakura surged forward, catching her off-guard. She tackled (Y/N) to the ground, pinning her beneath her with a grin.
“Gotcha,” Sakura whispered, her breath coming in short bursts.
(Y/N) stared up at her, wide-eyed and stunned for only a moment—before her grin returned, softer this time. “If this is how you’re gonna fight, I think I’ll start losing more often.”
Sakura rolled her eyes, but she didn’t move. There was something about this moment—the closeness of their bodies, the way (Y/N) looked at her with such openness—that made her heart skip a beat.
(Y/N) lifted her hand and tucked a stray strand of Sakura’s hair behind her ear, her fingers lingering just a moment longer than necessary. “You’re beautiful, you know that?”
Sakura felt her cheeks flush, but she didn’t pull away. “You’re such an idiot,” she murmured, but there was no heat in her words—only affection.
(Y/N) leaned up slightly, her gaze flickering to Sakura’s lips. “Yeah, but I’m your idiot.”
And before Sakura could respond, (Y/N) closed the distance between them, capturing her lips in a kiss that was slow and deliberate—like she was savoring every second of it.
Sakura melted into the kiss, her hands gripping the front of (Y/N)’s shirt to keep herself grounded. It was everything she hadn’t realized she needed—gentle but intense, playful but sincere.
When they finally pulled away, Sakura rested her forehead against (Y/N)’s, both of them catching their breath.
“You’re staying with me forever, right?” Sakura whispered, her voice barely audible.
(Y/N) smiled, pressing a soft kiss to her temple. “Forever, princess. No matter what.”
But forever wasn’t something the shinobi world promised easily.
———————
A few days later, while on a routine mission to escort a merchant caravan, (Y/N) and Sakura found themselves ambushed by rogue shinobi—remnants of old alliances that should’ve died with the Akatsuki.
The fight was brutal. (Y/N) moved like a force of nature, her water jutsu slicing through enemies with terrifying precision. But no matter how skilled they were, they were outnumbered.
Sakura fought by her side, her fists glowing with chakra, but a creeping fear lodged itself in her chest—a fear that they wouldn’t make it out of this one.
At one point, (Y/N) caught Sakura’s wrist, her silver-blue eyes serious. “If it comes down to it, you run. Got it?”
Sakura’s heart clenched. “I’m not leaving you.”
(Y/N) gave her a small, sad smile. “I know. But I need you to promise me anyway.”
Sakura shook her head. “We’re both getting out of this. Together.”
And with that, they charged back into the fray—side by side, as they always had been.
No matter what.
The rogue shinobi were relentless, their numbers seemingly endless. The forest echoed with the clash of steel, the rush of water jutsu, and the sharp crack of Sakura’s chakra-infused punches. (Y/N) fought like she belonged to the sea—fluid, unpredictable, and merciless. She carved through the enemy ranks with deadly precision, her water blades shimmering under the flickering light of fire jutsu and moonlight filtering through the treetops.
But even a storm can falter against overwhelming odds.
Sakura’s breath came in ragged gasps, and exhaustion began to creep into her limbs. She knew (Y/N) was feeling it too—their movements becoming just a fraction slower, their reactions dulled. It wasn’t enough to get them killed yet, but it was a dangerous edge to teeter on.
Sakura threw a chakra-enhanced punch into the earth, causing a shockwave that sent several shinobi flying. But just as she turned to warn (Y/N) of another ambush, she saw it—the subtle flick of a kunai coated in poison, sailing toward (Y/N)’s blind spot.
“(Y/N)!” Sakura screamed, pushing off the ground without thinking.
She threw herself into (Y/N), knocking her off balance and taking the blade to her shoulder. Pain exploded through her, but Sakura gritted her teeth and shoved (Y/N) behind cover.
“Damn it, Sakura!” (Y/N) shouted, catching her as they stumbled behind a fallen tree. “What the hell were you thinking?”
Sakura hissed through clenched teeth as the poison burned through her veins, black tendrils of chakra creeping outward from the wound. “I told you,” she whispered, gripping (Y/N)’s arm, “we leave together. No matter what.”
(Y/N) stared at her, emotions flickering across her face—panic, anger, fear, and something deeper. “Stupid… beautiful idiot,” (Y/N) muttered under her breath as she knelt beside Sakura, tearing the sleeve of her shirt to inspect the wound.
“I’ve got you,” (Y/N) whispered, her voice steady even as her hands trembled slightly. She formed a series of hand seals, summoning a surge of water that glowed faintly as it surrounded Sakura’s shoulder, cleansing the poison.
Sakura winced but managed a weak smile. “You’ve been practicing.”
(Y/N) huffed out a laugh, her expression softening despite the chaos around them. “Had to keep up with you, didn’t I?”
The rogue shinobi regrouped for another attack, and Sakura knew they wouldn’t last much longer—not without backup. She could feel her strength waning, the poison only partially neutralized. But as (Y/N) helped her to her feet, something shifted inside her.
This wasn’t how their story would end. Not here. Not like this.
“We’re making a run for it,” (Y/N) said firmly, tightening her grip on Sakura’s hand. “I don’t care what it takes—we’re getting out of this together.”
Sakura nodded, her heart pounding in her chest. “Together.”
With a shared glance, they launched into motion—dodging, weaving, and fighting their way through the remaining shinobi. (Y/N)’s water jutsu cut a path through the enemy lines, and Sakura followed close behind, her fists a blur of chakra-powered strikes.
Just as they broke through the last line of attackers, a burst of chakra exploded behind them—a fire jutsu aimed directly at Sakura’s back.
(Y/N) reacted without thinking. She threw herself between Sakura and the flames, summoning a towering wall of water just in time to absorb the impact. But the force of the blast knocked them both to the ground, skidding across the forest floor.
When the dust settled, they were lying side by side, panting and bruised but alive. The rogue shinobi had fallen back, retreating into the shadows of the forest, leaving them in silence.
Sakura turned her head toward (Y/N), who lay sprawled beside her, her chest rising and falling with labored breaths. “We made it,” Sakura whispered, a disbelieving smile spreading across her face.
(Y/N) let out a weak laugh, her eyes gleaming with exhaustion and relief. “Told you, princess. No matter what.”
Sakura shifted closer, ignoring the ache in her body, and rested her head against (Y/N)’s shoulder. “You’re impossible,” she murmured, but there was no mistaking the affection in her voice.
(Y/N) wrapped an arm around her, pulling her closer. “And you love me for it.”
Sakura smiled against her shoulder, feeling safe for the first time in what felt like forever. “Yeah,” she whispered, “I do.”
By the time they limped back to Konoha, the sun was rising, casting a warm glow over the village gates. They were met by a team of medics, but Sakura waved them off—her only focus was on making sure (Y/N) got the help she needed.
As they sat in the hospital room, (Y/N) resting beside her with bandages wrapped around her ribs, Sakura reached for her hand. She held it tightly, her thumb brushing over (Y/N)’s scarred knuckles.
“I almost lost you out there,” Sakura said quietly, her voice thick with emotion.
(Y/N) gave her a lopsided grin, even as her eyes drooped with exhaustion. “But you didn’t.”
Sakura leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to (Y/N)’s forehead. “And I never will.”
(Y/N) smiled, her hand tightening around Sakura’s. “Forever, right?”
Sakura kissed her again, this time on the lips—slow and tender, a promise wrapped in warmth. “Forever.”
As they lay together, tangled in each other’s warmth and the soft glow of the morning light, Sakura knew that no matter what challenges lay ahead, they would face them side by side.
Because they were each other’s safe harbor.
Bonus Chapter:
Ino – “Wait, What?!” (Early Stage)
Ino leaned on the counter of the Yamanaka Flower Shop, idly picking petals from a chrysanthemum. The sun filtered through the windows, and she was just starting to get bored when the bell above the door jingled.
To her delight, Sakura strolled in, looking… different. It wasn’t her usual “I’m here to buy apology flowers for my team” look. Sakura’s eyes had a distinct softness, and her lips were curved in a way that made Ino narrow her eyes in suspicion.
“So,” Ino began slyly, setting the flowers aside, “who is it?”
Sakura froze in place, her face turning a suspicious shade of pink. “What are you talking about?” she muttered, grabbing a random bouquet from the shelf to avoid Ino’s knowing gaze.
“Oh, come on.” Ino leaned closer, her grin widening. “I know that look. You’ve got it bad for someone. Spill!”
Sakura hesitated for a moment, chewing on her bottom lip. “It’s… (Y/N).”
Ino blinked, tilting her head. “Wait. (Y/N) Hoshigaki?” she asked, as if the name hadn’t fully registered.
Sakura gave a small, nervous nod.
It took a second for the pieces to click, but when they did, Ino practically gasped. “Kisame’s daughter?! Shark Girl?!” She grabbed Sakura’s shoulders, shaking her lightly. “You’re dating her?”
Sakura swatted Ino’s hands away, her blush deepening. “Keep your voice down, will you?”
Ino couldn’t help herself—she burst into laughter. “Sakura, I swear you have the weirdest taste in people. First Sasuke, now a rogue shinobi’s kid? But—” she grinned, nudging Sakura with her elbow, “—I gotta admit, she is kinda cool.”
Sakura rolled her eyes, but the smile tugging at her lips betrayed her annoyance.
Kakashi – “I Didn’t See This Coming” (Mid-Stage)
Kakashi stood on the bridge, watching as Sakura and (Y/N) walked toward him, side by side. They weren’t holding hands, but there was an ease between them—a quiet kind of closeness Kakashi had come to recognize in couples.
He knew something was different the moment (Y/N) had joined their team through the exchange program. At first, Sakura had been stiff and resentful, but now… there was an unmistakable shift in their dynamic.
“You’re late,” Kakashi called lazily as they approached.
“Blame her,” (Y/N) said with a smirk, jerking her thumb toward Sakura. “She insisted on stopping for dango.”
Sakura glared at her, but there was no real heat in it. “You wanted the dango too!”
Kakashi’s visible eye crinkled with amusement. “I’m just surprised. It’s rare to see you two not at each other’s throats.”
(Y/N) grinned, baring her shark-like teeth. “What can I say? She’s grown on me.”
Sakura shot her a look, her cheeks pink, but (Y/N) just chuckled. Kakashi noted the way Sakura’s expression softened when she looked at (Y/N)—a softness Kakashi hadn’t seen since she was a child.
He tucked his hands into his pockets, feeling a rare sense of contentment. “Well, this is new,” he thought. But he didn’t say it aloud. He’d seen enough of life to know that relationships were complicated—and that sometimes, the unexpected ones were the most meaningful.
Naruto – “You’re WHAT?!” (Late Stage)
Naruto almost choked on his ramen. “You’re moving in together?!”
Sakura glared at him from across the table, her arms crossed. “Do you have to be so loud about it?”
Naruto wiped his mouth with his sleeve, still looking as if she’d just told him she was moving to another dimension. “But—But Sakura-chan!” he sputtered. “Are you really sure about this? I mean, she’s—she’s a Hoshigaki! And she has shark teeth!”
“Thanks for noticing, Naruto,” (Y/N) said dryly, appearing beside Sakura with two bottles of soda in hand. She plopped down next to her, draping an arm lazily over the back of Sakura’s chair. “They’re my best feature.”
Naruto blinked between them, his mouth opening and closing like a fish out of water. “I just… I mean… when did this even happen?!”
Sakura sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. “Naruto, it’s been months.”
Naruto still looked dumbfounded, but there was no mistaking the hint of protectiveness in his voice. “You better not hurt her, Hoshigaki. I mean it.”
(Y/N) raised a brow, then gave Naruto a slow, playful grin. “Relax, Uzumaki. I’m not going anywhere. She’s stuck with me.”
Sakura smirked, nudging (Y/N) lightly. “Who says I’m stuck with you?”
Naruto groaned, slumping forward over his bowl. “Great. Now you’re both ganging up on me.”
Tsunade – “So You’re Staying, Huh?” (Final Stage)
Tsunade sat behind her desk, arms folded, as she eyed (Y/N) from across the room. Sakura stood beside her, looking more composed than usual—as she had already made peace with whatever decision (Y/N) had come to.
“So,” Tsunade said slowly, “you’ve decided to stay in Konoha permanently?”
(Y/N) met the Hokage’s gaze without flinching. “Yeah. I have.”
Tsunade leaned back in her chair, her sharp eyes narrowing slightly. “And you’re sure you won’t regret leaving everything behind? Your old life?”
(Y/N) gave a small, almost imperceptible shrug. “I wasn’t really living before, just… existing.” She glanced at Sakura, her expression softening. “I found something here worth staying for.”
Sakura smiled quietly, a rare, genuine smile that Tsunade didn’t often see.
Tsunade sighed, rubbing her temples. “I guess I should’ve seen this coming.”
(Y/N) grinned, her shark teeth flashing. “I tend to surprise people.”
Tsunade huffed a laugh, though it was mostly exasperation. “Well, just don’t cause me any trouble, got it? The last thing I need is another Hoshigaki making my life harder.”
“No promises,” (Y/N) said with a wink.
Sakura groaned. “Why did I fall for such a pain?”
“Because you like challenges,” (Y/N) shot back smoothly, bumping Sakura’s shoulder.
Tsunade rolled her eyes but couldn’t hide the hint of a smile tugging at her lips. “Get out of my office, both of you, before I change my mind about all this.”
Sakura and (Y/N) exchanged a glance, then laughed as they left the room hand in hand, their footsteps echoing down the hall.
Tsunade shook her head, a wry smile on her face. “Well, I’ll be damned,” she muttered. “Didn’t think I’d see the day.”
And somehow, she felt that maybe—just maybe—Konoha was better off with the two of them in it.

Tumblr media
The red light district was all you’d known, you grew up there being a daughter of one of the many unfortunate prospects who fell pregnant to their careless clients, you were raised by all the women as your mother died due to disease a little while after you were born.
Eventually put to work, first it was serving drinks and food, then music and games, then singing and dancing, and now that you had reached adulthood you began taking clients, the madam of the pleasure house to worked at had originally planned to sell you off while you were still intact, however it just seemed too hard for the old woman to part ways with you, or at least you believed that’s how she felt.
Today was no different you had several clients, all of which were men who wished to or perhaps could only afford to sit and play games with you, though the night hours were closing in and you were given your next client.
The man was older, but didn’t appear elderly, he was tall and kind looking, and he was a ninja, it was strange most ninja would even think of stepping into the red light distract let alone come into a pleasure house, but here the man was.
“Hello master, would you like a drink before we start, you’ve payed for a wide array of services, “yes please, and it’d be lovely if you call me Jiraiya” he smiled and rested an arm around your waist, “yes as you wish Jiraiya-sama” you leant into him and slowly poured him a drink, you placed the bottle down before picking up the glass and holding up to his lips, Jiraiya sipped down the drink and used he other hand to slowly rub your leg, you shifted slightly exposing your legs from inside the silky fabric of your kimono, before you sat in his lap and brushed your hands over his chest, “What shall we do first Jiraiya-Sama?” You hummed as you fell his hand move to your inner thigh and he began massaging the flesh, “open this, I’d like to see” he chuckled and you reached for the tie of your kimono, you undid it and opened it for him.
Jiraiya watched your breast bounce free as you allowed the fabric to fall of your shoulders, he cupped your face and pressed a soft kiss to your lips, his hands slowly moving down, he ran his hand down your chest, trailing between the valley of your breast, then down your stomach and to your most sensitive spot, you moaned as he pressed a finger to your clit and gently rub it while you laid back in his arms.
“Jiraiya-Sama you spoil me too much” you cried as the man’s fingers pumped quickly in and out of you while he had you bent over the floor table, he knelt up and moved he’d his hand while you looked back at him with pleading eyes, “I’m gonna go in soon, you want that?” He hummed and you moaned out a desperate ‘yes’ before you watched the man pull back and begin removing his clothes, he had scars littering his body and one particular large scar covered his chest.
You eyes slowly drifting down while you took in his muscles and strong body, before your eyes went wide, thick; long; cerved and pretty, Jiraiya smirked at your reaction he was massive, the biggest you’ve ever seen, “Jiraiya-Sama, I’m worried I’ll rip… take me slowly please” you whispered and the man howled with laughter, before he pressed the thick head of his penis against your opening before pushing in effortlessly, causing you to cry out loudly and grab the table so roughly all the dishes fell.
Jiraiya held your sides just under your breast as he snapped his hip into you quickly, “you’re so little, you’re young and tiny, you don’t belong in a place like this…” he grunted and you moaned loudly “but god am I lucky you are here” he hummed and you heard shifting behind the panels on the door that could slide open slightly, you looked over to see a large number of girls looking through the open slates on the doors, they watched as the man pulled your head back by your hair and pressed on the centre of your back causing it to arc more while his hips quickened, “fuck, it’s tight… I don’t typically go for younger women like you but I’m glad I did” he huffed as his eyes fluttered shut.
You whined and closed your eyes as you rolled your hips back into him, “Jiraiya-Sama, please allow me to come” you rested your cheek against the table as your body stiffened and your cunt tightened, “yeah, do it on me…” he groaned and held the base of his cock holding it steady while he forced it in and out of you roughly, your body shuttered and Jiraiya quickly pulled out before giving himself and few pumps.
The man watched has his cum pooled on your back as you came down from your high, Jiraiya grabbed your forearms and quickly slipped back into you, with a grunt.
It continued like that throughout all of Jiraiya’s visit, by the end of it you were stretched out and exhausted, you looked up at him and he smiled, you sat up and bowed once he finished getting dress. “Thank you for your time Jiraiya-Sama, I look forward to your next” you smiled and Jiraiya hummed, perhaps he’d come back again, when he’s coming back this way on his way home, “sure next time I’ll take my time with each of your openings, so keep them next and wet” he chuckled and the man patted your head before leaving the room and leaving you to clean the mess.
Later that evening after you had cleaned up and finished with your other clients, you had several of the other women asking all about the man and if you were actually enjoying his company, to which you answered every one of their questions honestly and shamelessly.

Like Father, Like Daughter - Kakashi Hatake x Reader
Summary : The death of your father hits you full force right in the face, and you don’t think you’ll ever be able to feel ok again...Fortunately for you, a certain Copy Ninja is here to try and cheer you up the best he can.
Well, I thought I’d just jump into it. Something completely unrelated to DC/Mavel, a bit of love for Kakashi from the anime “Naruto”...I just really wanted to write this piece with the scarecrow. Tell me if you want more of those (I’ve been binge watching Naruto, One Piece and Full  Metal Alchemist particularly lately so...send request about that if you wanna) I’m really REALLY unsure about that one...But hey, I’m posting it anyway. Hope you’ll like it :
You can find my masterlist here : @ella-ravenwood-archives
________________________________________________
-Go fuck yourself you fucking stale baguette !!
...Stale baguette ? Where were you even finding your insults ? How was he suppose to punish you for using bad words when you were being so damn hilarious ? Stale baguette. He had to remember that one.
Jiraiya looked at you tenderly. You. His daughter. A daughter he never even should have had. His daughter than never let anyone walk on her feet. His small little baby girl...who was already sixteen. Where have the years gone ?
He was staring at you, his eyes full of awe and love, as usual, and couldn’t help but think you looked a lot like your mother right now, mad as Hell and ready to kick some ass.
Your mother. Tsunade. The only woman he ever truly loved (though he’d never admit it, as the love was unrequited...or so he thought). Most people were quite...surprised to say the least, when they learned that you were the biological daughter of the two famous sennin, Jiraiya, and Konoha’s fifth Hokage, Tsunade Senju.
You were the result of a very drunken night of passion, the only one they shared...It was Dan’s (your mother “only love”) anniversary of death, and she felt particularly bad. So she went out to drink her sorrow away, and your father went with...The rest is history.
Nine months later, you were there, a surprised to both of them, but one they gladly accepted. They had a lot of flaws, those two, but being bad parents wasn’t one of them.
You lived in Konoha until you were six, until your “Uncle” Orochimaru turned dark, betrayed the village, and your parents’ were too heartbroken to stay. Your life was shared between them. A few months with your dad, a few months with your mom...And you loved it.
Ruffling your hair mischievously, your father lets out a loud laugh and says :
-You’re a terrible flirt. Not as in you do it too often, as in, you’re bad. Like, really bad. Soooooooo bad.
-Yeah I know ! Like father, like daughter right ?
-I don’t think I ever called anyone a “fucking stale baguette” while trying to flirt with them...How did that even come up ?
You shake your head vigorously, you have no idea how you ended up insulting the guy you were flirting with...Was it because he kept making stupid remarks about your boobs ? Or maybe your ass ? You couldn’t even remember, that’s how important to you it was. Yeah, you definitely couldn’t care less.
-No, but remember that time you waited an entire day in the public onsen just to see naked women ?
-...Point taken.
-Aren’t you suppose to scold me for using bad words anyway ?
-...If I buy you your favorite flavored popsicle, will you shut up and not tell anything to your mother ?
-Buy me two and we have a deal.
-Deal.
You nod, and he puts a protective arm around your shoulder (as a reflex, because if he was honest with himself, he knew you didn’t need protection...You were your parents’ daughter, a very powerful kunoichi, bound to even surpass them one day), his giant frame dwarfing your small one...That, you took from your mother.
It was moments like that that you loved the most with your father. Just silly time with your big idiot of a dad. You two had always been close, ever since the moment you were born. He swore, the first time he held you in his arms, that he would never let anything happen to you...He just didn’t plan on leaving you so soon...
*****************
You woke up from this pleasant dream with a start...And wished you could go back to sleep and dream some more about good times you spent with your dad. You wished you could just control your dreams, and see him whenever you wanted when you were asleep...Damn you missed the fool so much.
You would give anything to be sixteen again, to be back those eight years ago, in a random city you forgot the name off, eating two popsicle on a bench near a river, looking at the sun going down, talking with him about anything. He always was a good listener, and the conversations you shared were always the best.
Was. Using the past tense to speak about him tore a whole in your chest.
Your father was dead.
Killed by an ex-student of his, that was now dead..and that you couldn’t blame because you understood his pain. Besides, he amended himself, bringing back to life many people from Konoha (including a certain copy ninja on which you had a massive crush since you were a child).
And you couldn’t help but think it was your fault. Because you weren’t with him. Maybe with your added force, he could have survived...or you could have died instead of him. But he refused for you to come with him.
You think he knew. He knew he wouldn’t come back. It was in the way he said goodbye to you, in the way he bid his farewell to your mother...it was different than usual. He knew he wouldn’t come back...
After a week of his absence (you moved back to Konoha when you were 18, and were so glad your mother became Hokage, like that you could see her often...and your father also came home more often because of it), you felt your heart ripped apart and just knew what happened instantly...
The bond that linked you to him was broken. Your father was dead.
Your mother felt it too, and you fell in her arms, crying for hours...She held you against her heart, and you knew she suffered as much as you. Because you knew since you were a chid that they were both in love with each other, but were too damn proud to ever admit it. Such a shame...Because now, he was gone.
You would never see him again. Talk to him, about anything and everything. Joke with him. Scold him for his inappropriate behaviors. He would never again buy you a popsicle so you wouldn’t tell something bad he did (or made you do) to your mom. You would never hear his laugh again. His hand would never go through your hair, ruffling them lovingly again...Your father was dead.
Lost forever.
You couldn’t sleep anymore, even with the prospect of a possible pleasant dream about a memory with your father, you simply couldn’t sleep.
You checked your alarm clock. 4 am. You had to wake up in two hours to go on a mission...no point in trying to fall back asleep.
You decided to go see your dad. You slipped some close on, and left, your thought unable to detached themselves from the man you lost...
******************
The stone of heroes.
Where the name of everyone who fell in combat was carved in. It was a lot of people. Your father’s name was on it, carved bigger than a lot of the other names...Of course it would be carved bigger. He was awesome.
You sad down on the cold floor in front of it, and caressed the stone lightly.
-I miss you so much dad...
A twig cracking behind you startles you, and as fast as lightning, you turn around, kunai out, ready to fight.
Kakashi. It’s only Kakashi. As your gaze meet his only visible eye, you realize he’s exactly the person you want to see right now...
Kakashi was older than you. Eight years your senior. The fact that you were close from Jiraiya, meant that you became close from Minato as well, the famous Yondaime Hokage...which in consequence, also meant you ended up seeing Kakashi a lot. Not that you minded. At all.
You always had a huge crush on him. How could you not ? He was brilliant, both in combat and intelligence, funny, witty, mysterious, compassionate...He went through a lot. His father’s suicide, his best friends’ death (feeling guilty forever because of it) etc etc...He suffered from a lot of mental pain, and the only thing you wanted to do was to hold him in your arm and tell him everything will be ok. But he only saw you as a little sister.
You were sure of it. After all, eight years was quite a gap, and most of all, he rarely let anyone come close to him ever since Rin died. Especially not relationship was. The man had a lot of flings, one night stands...but an actual relationship ? No. Because he still felt guilty about the fact that he did not return Rin’s feelings. And he couldn’t handle the pain of loosing someone else...he told you himself. You became friends, against his better judgment, hell, best friends, but it never went further...He wouldn’t allow it.
-Hey.
His voice. You always found his deep low voice soothing. He could read something stupid (like one of your father’s awful smutty book) and you’d still think it’s the best thing ever.
-Hey Kakashi-kun...
-You’re up early.
-So are you.
-I didn’t went to bed yet.
-Ah.
There a silence. Not an awkward one, not at all. He approaches you, and you stand up, turning your body to face him. You’re close, but not as close as you with and...you feel guilty. Thinking about that in front of the stone of heroes. How disrespectful.
So you look away from him, turn away from him, making the distance between the two of you bigger and...Was it a hint of disappointment and hurt you saw in his eyes as you were doing so ? No. No more wishful thinking about him seeing you in any other way than a friend. Especially not here, not now.
-How...How are you holding up ?
He asks shyly, unsure of your reaction.
-I’m...alright. It’s...It’s how life goes I guess.
-Doesn’t make things any less painful.
-No, it doesn't right ?
Kakashi always found the right words to make you feel better. Always. Or maybe it was because you liked his voice so much...
-I know how it feels. Believe me (Y/N), I do. If I can do anything for you I...
-No Kakashi, you don’t. You don’t know.
He’s about to retorque something, to tell you his father too died, but you don’t let him speak.
-You don’t, because your case was much worst. You were a child. Whose father...decided to end his own life. Everyone was telling you that your dad was a scumbag...It’s completely different. You suffered much more. My dad died “a hero”, if that means anything...Everyone gave me their condolences and shit like that...While you ? You just suffered way more Kakashi. You shouldn’t feel bad for me.
At your words, you can see conflicted feelings going through his eyes, the only part of his face you could see (the other hidden behind his famous mask). Pain, relief, gratefulness, sadness, love...love ? Uh. Don’t get your hopes high. Love for his father, probably.
He close the gap between you two and...Take you in his arms.
You are stunned. It’s the first time he does that...Well, that’s not really true. There was once, on a mission long ago, where you got hurt pretty badly, where he carried you in his arms all the way to Konohagure. But it was different. He was trying to save your life. While here...His soft voice brings you back to reality :
-It’s not because my pain seems greater that you cannot feel any. It’s not because you think I suffered more that I can’t feel bad for you. Please, stop. It’s not the first time you say something like that. You always put your own suffering away, because you think I had it worst than you and...
-But you had it worst than me.
-Let me finish please (Y/N). Let me finish.
His embrace tighten around you, and because of the height difference, your head buries itself in his chest. You can feel one of his hand caressing your back up and down soothingly...and your heart drop. Not because of the affectionate gesture from the man you loved, but because your father used to do that to you whenever you had a nightmare, or whenever you felt bad...You feel your tears welling up in your eyes, but resist.
-I never saw you cry. Not even when you lost your friends, just like I did. Not even when you got tortured for months by a hostile village that wanted informations on Konoha. Not even when Minato-sensei, whom I know you considered your big brother died. Not even whenever your parents left Konoha, and you stayed behind. Not even in plenty of other occasions that should have take a toll on your mind. You never allow yourself to cry, because you think other people have it worst than you. I heard you that time, telling Naruto nothing in your life compared to his miserable childhood, though plenty of things do. You always think you’re not allowed to be sad...But you’re wrong. You went through a lot too. And even if you didn’t, you’re allowed to feel sorrow. It’s not because people suffered more, than your sufferings mean nothing. I wish you would understand that...Because seeing you swallowing all of your feelings down is killing me slowly. And please, please believe me, because you can’t even imagine how hard it is right now to tell you all of that. I’m not good with words...Never been. But for you, I’ll always make the effort...
What ? What was he saying ? You pull away from his embrace, so you could see his face, but he doesn’t let go off you completely. In the only eye you can see, there is so many different emotions...it makes your heart swell.
-You just lost your father. I know how it feels. So let it go...let it all go...
Kakashi. He always had the right words to make you feel better. People thought he was just a nonchalant guy and all, but he was...Oh he was so much more. He was compassionate, nice, hilarious, passionate, faithful, he had principals that he’d never betray...He was the best.
And as you thought about the fact that you would never see your father again, as everything truly sinked in, his arms around you gave you the opportunity, for the first time in your life, to weep. To truly cry, as you rarely did. Actually, the only time you did was with your mother, when you both felt your dad die...
Here, in your best friend’s arms, in the man you loves’ arms, you finally let go.
You don’t know how long you two stay like that, in each others’ arms. You don’t know for how long you ball your fist in his shirt, wetting it with your tears, your face buried on his chest...Until finally, you calm down.
****************
-Are you feeling better ?
-Yes Kakashi. Thank you.
-It’s ok. Anything for the one I love.
-...Uh ? What did you just say ?
-Anything for the ones I love.
-Oh...
Short silence. Your both sitting in front of the stone of heroes, your head on his shoulder, one of his arm around yours. He breaks the silence :
-I lied.
-Mm ?
-I lied. Just now. I didn’t say for the oneS. I said for the one.
Your heart skip a beat. What ? You find yourself speechless, for the first time in your life. You usually always have a witty or sarcastic answer (you got that from your wonderful mother). His arm around your shoulder twitch a bit, and you can hear his breathing stopping.
-I...I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have been so forward. You must think I’m a dirty old man, after all you’re young and...Hum. I’m sorry. I just...I just want you to feel better. God. Sorry I’m such a fool. I...when you’re around it seems I can’t formulate coherent thoughts.
What was he saying ? You were confused. How could it be ? Was he...Was he in love with you ? The loss of his warmth alarm you, and you realize he’s slipping away from you. He’s already on his feet apologizing profusely to you, about to leave...but you’re not about to let him. You raise too.
-Wait ! Don’t be sorry.
-No really, I am. I...I don’t know what got into me I...
-Don’t be sorry, because I want the one I love too feel good too...
-Uh ?
-...I...I always kinda had a crush on you, Kakashi. I guess in recent years, it turned into...more than that.
In an instant, all trace of worry disappear from his face, to be replaced by relief. And something else. Love. Love, for you. Not for his father.
He brush a few fingers on your cheek, awkwardly, and you both just stand there, in front of each other, not really knowing what to do next...You decide to take the first step. Just like your dad would. Like Father, like Daughter...you just hoped that your first step wouldn’t end up being like his : with you being slapped by Kakashi.
Slowly, making sure he can stop you whenever he wants, you raise a slightly shaky hand to his mask...You saw his face once, a long time ago, when you got badly hurt and he did CPR on you, but it was all blurry...Your heart raced at the mere thought of finally seeing what he looked like.
He doesn’t stop you when you slip two fingers inside the mask, and slowly pull it down.
His nose, his mouth, the little beauty mark he has bellow his lower lip...He’s handsomer than you imagined.
He lets you do it. He even lets you take his headband off too, so that you could see his entire face. His eye holding the sharingan is close, and...It’s instinctive. You don’t think. You just do it. You feel the urge to kiss it. His scar.
You go on your tip-toes, because he’s quite taller than you, and, hands on each side of his face, he bends his head slightly, automatically as well.
Your lips on the side of his forehead, where the scar begins, make him shiver. Your second kiss, a bit more down the scar sent his arms to wrap themselves around you. The third time your lips comes in contact with his scar, it’s on his eyes, and he sighs contentedly. The fourth is on his cheek...the fifth dangerously close from his mouth...
He cannot stop himself. His arms are around you and bring you flushed against his body, as his mouth find yours.
The kiss is sweet and full of promises. He understands you, and you get him. It has always been the case.
The kiss is passionate and full of love. If your father could see you right now, he probably wouldn’t say “you’re a bad flirt”, but “Good job my little one, good job...now Hatake, get away from my daughter”. The thought makes you smile in the kiss, and you feel suddenly better than you have in the past month since your dad passed away.
Kakashi always had the right words to make you feel better. And apparently, his tongue wasn’t just good to speak...damn he was a good kisser.
Finally, you pull away from each others, and he utters those three magical words you longed to hear from him :
-I love you (Y/N), and after I kiss you again, I’ll tell you one more time, I’ll tell you how much I’ve loved you for a long time, how I feared you’d think I was too old, how I craved your presence, running “accidentally” into you often on your days off, how...how many things. I just love you.
-I love you too Kakashi...So much...
He kisses you again, more eagerly than before if that was possible, and the way his hands caress your body makes you think of something...you blush at the thought, but you have to say it. It would be what you father wanted. Most definitely, damn that man was...well, nothing but awesome.
You pull away from Kakashi, and he groans, trying to catch your mouth with his again, but you speak before he can :
-Oh, which makes me think...In case anything would happen to my father he...He prepared a few things for me to take care of.
-Uh ?
-He...He gave me his notes for his next book. For some reasons, he wanted me to continue his work. To write the next icha-icha paradise. I said yes of course...I wasn’t really expecting him to be gone so soon though...What I mean is, now, with you, I have one more reason to continue his book. To finish it. According to him, I’m quite a decent writer...
Kakashi’s face illuminates, a large smile spreading across his features, and he takes you in his arms again, kissing you a bit roughly. When he pulls away, cupping your cheeks lovingly with his hands, it’s to say :
-I knew you were the one. I just knew it. I love you, (Y/N). Now and forever.
FIN.
PS : It’s shit isn’t it ? Erf. Well I tried. Sorry it’s so long as well. I wanted to write something with Kakashi so bad that it might not be of the best quality...Well. Yeah. I tried. Sorry. As you can see, I was very unsure about that one...mainly cause I usually write about Marvel or DC characters so you know...anyway, THANK YOU FOR READING UNTIL HERE.

His Daughter
Tumblr media
Jiraiya Pov’s
I was walking with Naruto after we just left Konoha, my thoughts were interrupted by the orange kid.
“Pervy-Sage! Where are we going? I need to start training!” Naruto asks flexing his no existing muscles. “To meet someone.” I say. “Who?” Naruto asks. “You’ll see when we arrive there.” I say making Naruto complain. “My daughter.” I think.
 Y/N Pov’s
I was leaving the inn I was staying, looking at the clear sky I sigh and walk towards the forest to train, but on my way on the desert road I felt his chakra with a weird strong chakra next to him, smirking evilly I mask my chakra and hide on the tall tree and wait for the moment.
 “Now.” I think and throw my special kunai in front of dad, the kunai releases a black smoke and I teleport in the middle of the smoke appearing right in front dad face, making the other kid scream in fear and dad just sigh.
“You’re late.” I say to dad eyeing the orange bright kid. “I’m fashionable late.” Dad says laughing. “Ero-Sannin! YOU KNOW HER?” The orange kid screams. “Kid were not deaf and Ero-Sannin? I like it.” I say looking at that kid and smirk towards dad about the new nickname. “Thanks Naruto.” Dad says crying dramatically knowing I won’t let him forget this name. “So this is Naruto?” I ask. “I’M NARUTO UZUMAKI AND I WILL BE....” He starts. “Right, right, please stop screaming.” I say already starting getting tired. “Oh, sorry!” Naruto says putting his arm behind his neck nervous. “Naruto, this is Y/N, my daughter.” Jiraiya says hugging Y/N by the side. “Dau..dau...YOU HAVE A DAUGHTER!” Naruto screams pointing the finger towards us. Naruto looks from dad to me and from me to dad. “They do look the same.” Naruto thinks looking at our white hair and black eyes.
“Come on, let’s go!” Jiraiya says and the three of us starting walking back to the small village Jiraya in the middle of us.
 Jiraiya Pov’s
 Some days later
 Y/N was napping leaning against me while I write my new book. “Pervy-Sage, can you tell me more about Y/N?” Naruto asks me sitting in front of me, looking serious, scaring me a little. “Alright.” I say putting the book away. “One night I was sleeping in an inn bedroom when I heard a baby crying, I didn’t know it was on the front of my bedroom, I, by instinct got up to see, so imagine my shock face when I see a baby girl in a basket with a note.” I say remember that night. “What did the note said?” Naruto asks. “I know you won’t believe, but she is your daughter please take care of her, I named her Y/N. You will be a great dad I know you will.” I sigh.
“I really didn’t believe her, so I thought about giving her to someone I knew but I looked at her eyes and I knew she was mine. When she turned six she started pranking everyone, got me in a lot of trouble with the wrong people, she just didn’t have a care about the world.” I say smiling thinking about those days. “WHAT KIND OF PRANKS?”Naruto asks.
“Of course you only heard that part, one day I didn’t sleep in the inn so early in the morning when I was trying quietly enter the room a bucket full of ice water drops on me. One day she threw eggs on me and I ran after her angry, but then I lost her in the streets I couldn’t find her for hours, then I found her napping in the forest, the biggest scared of my life.” I say. “I still scary to these days.” I hear Y/N beside me. “Yes you do, unfortunately.” I say kissing her hair, then both of us look at a sad Naruto. “You shouldn’t look sad Naruto, she will prank you, when you lease expect.” I say laughing making Y/N and Naruto laugh. “Right!” Naruto says laughing. “I wouldn’t laugh Naruto, my pranks got smarter.” Y/N says very serious making Naruto gulp in fear.
 Y/N Pov’s
Two days after Jiraiya leaves with Naruto
 Naruto was sleeping in the bedroom so me and dad were outside for some alone time.
“So you’re leaving again.” I say staying beside my dad. “You can come with us you know that.” Jiraiya says. “And hear Naruto scream in my ears every day? No, thank you.” I say joking making that laugh. “But you know I have to go.” I say. “I know.” Jiraiya says serious but not five minutes later his kneel on the ground hugging me and dramatically crying. “MY DAUGHTER IS SO GROW UP! SHE’S LEAVING ME.” He screams. “DAD! STOP!” I say trying to leave the hug but not success. “You’re going to be with Naruto!” “AND SHE’S LEAVING ME WITH A LOUD ORANGE KID!” Dad screams again I give up looking at the moon. “Why did you leave me with this man? But thank you for him.” I think.
 “Bye dad!” I say hugging dad. “Bye honey, be careful!” Dad says. “I will.” I say then turn to Naruto and I hug him making him stiff in shock not expecting the hug. “Bye Naruto!” I say. “Take care of my dad.” I whisper to him. “I will.” Naruto says and both him and dad starting walking away leaving me behind waving to them. “GIVE HIM HELL NARUTO!” I scream making Naruto laugh and dad scream no, laughing I also start walking towards a different direction.
 Note: Hope you like it! And sorry for the delay! @twilightlover2007 (I may turn this into a story!)

Shikamaru x Senju!reader
“listen as a shikamaru’s slut i am OBSESSED with your writing omg tysm for what you’re doing to the shikamaru girls community. i am now dedicating my life to worship your writing. can i ask for shikamaru with a reader who is tsunade daughter and sakura’s best friend? thank youu”-anon
Ah man just seeing the request makes me so giddy again lmao, thanks for the love! Hopefully this is good!
Tumblr media
He met you when he was promoted to chunnin
You were leaning against the wall and he first assume you were also there to be promoted despite not seeing you in the exams
“Wait im the only one promoted? Then who’s she?”
“Oh her? Thats my daughter” Tsunade said and you gave a smile along with a short wave
“Y/n Senju, nice to meet you!”
Tsunade tells shikamaru to guide you around the village since the last time you were here is when you were a toddler
She’d do it herself but says she has hokage work
But in reality probably wants to go out and gamble and not worry about her kid
You and Shikamaru kinda start off awkward since he’s not too sociable and talkative
You take it upon yourself to spark a proper conversation and from there on out its a pretty pleasant experience
He talks about his friends and a few of his habits and you respond with your habits and how it was like traveling with someone like tsunade
You kinda expose her and say she’s obsessed with gambling and drinking
He asks if your a kunoichi and you tell him not officially
you didn’t go to the academy or have a headband but you have enough knowledge to become one
You know enough to defend yourself along with basic medical ninjutsu
He later learns you have the same monster strength she does
Naruto called you the mini sucker since your dad jiraiya nicknamed your mom the legendary sucker
You grew pissed off and punched naruto and he literally crashed through a few buildings
Shikamaru nearly pissed his pants lmao
How did this kind and happy girl he befriend turn into a demon with monster strength in two seconds?
He swore to never ever EVER piss you off because he would actually die
When sakura and ino trained under tsunade, you really bonded with sakura
She was really nice and supportive despite her destructive temper
Shikamaru doesn’t really care that your friends with sakura lmao
But what he does care for is hurting your feelings and not only having to deal with you, but he’d have to deal with your mom AND sakura
He sometimes wondered if sakura was actually just your long lost sister or something
I’m running out of things to say i’ve done shikamaru so much (like four times but shush)
When you guys were 15 or 16 you went out and got lunch and shika didn’t think of it too much
But after wards you smiled and said it was a fun date
Without thinking he was like ‘yeah, lets do it again sometime’
It only clicked what just happened when he made it home and he flipped out
But yeah since then you two have been together
Sakura makes sure to say threats to shikamaru a few times just too mess with him
She’s scary and half the time its hard to tell if its jokes or not
Tsunade would probably approve your relationship
“As long as he isn’t like that good-for-nothing pervert frog then he’s good in my book”
You could be a chiropractor with your strength lmao
Sometimes you forget your strength and when your excited and hug shikamaru you just completely pop his back
You definitely have embarrassed him by giving him piggy back rides through out the leaf or bridal carrying him

Silver Bells Part 1
A/N: Welcome back! I meant to post yesterday but I was busy with work and getting my thigh tattooed banged out all at once in 3.5 hours, which hurts, immensely by the way. But I present to you my fic featuring the man whose last name I use as my own on Facebook, the handsome and infamous, Kakashi Hatake. Enjoy!

It's been a long journey, and one you never saw yourself making. Not in all 25 years of your life, but you've received orders from a man you never met, that was given to your mother when he left after their short but apparently intense fling.
Jiraiya, your apparent father had made sure to inform your mother that if word was to get back to her about his death she would make sure you went to the Leaf Village. And that's where you were headed now. Actually coming up to the gates now.
Completely lost as to where to go when you stepped past the gates you spotted a stand where two shinobi sat. So you made your way over to them.
"Uhm, good morning.." you quietly said to one of the men, who looked up to you and smiled.
"Good morning! You look lost, what can I do for you?" He smiled at you and was being very courteous, something you didn't expect being a stranger in the village.
"Honestly, I don't know, my father wanted me to come here after his passing given this was his home village, you might know him more than I did, but his name was Jiraiya," the smile slipped off the shinobi face at the mention of your fathers name.
"Oh, well let me bring you to the Hokage, she will be of more assistance to you," said the shinobi, now walking out from the stand and giving a look to the other who was still sitting.
"That seems like a lot buts its very appreciated, to be honest, I don't know much about my father, nothing worth noting at least," and you filled in the shinobi as you walked through the village. Also making sure to take in your surroundings.
"Given his nature, this was most certainly expected," the shinobi tried to play off what he said as some dumb joke but even though you didnt know him a lot, it was still disrespect to the man who offered half of himself to create you.
The rest of the trip was silent until you two came up to a dome-like building, climbing the stairs and walking through hallways until you reached a set of double doors. The shinobi knocked.
"Tsunade, there's an immediate and important person here for you to see,' he peeked his head in after originally gaining permission, you heard a female voice grant permission to let you in, the shinobi held open the door for you as you walked in, closing it behind you, you realized he left you hear with a big chested blonde woman with beautiful blue eyes, this must be Tsunade, the Hokage.
"And who might you be?" She asked, keeping attentive eye contact.
"I'm, y/n, Jiraiya's daughter," you held your hands together in front of you. You swear you could see all emotion drain from her face, who would’ve thought news like this could shake a Hokages character, they must’ve been close you thought. After what felt like a few minutes she finally spoke again.
“Okay, so what brings you here?” she had her hands together, fingers intertwined and elbows on the desk, basically hiding half of her face, which seemed back to normal.
“I don't know, I was told to come here under the circumstances of his death, and here I am,” you rubbed the back of your head with one hand, feeling tense.
“Okay, well I’ve been a friend of your father for long enough to know that even though some things he did never made sense, their was always a reason, you can stay here until we figure that out, I’ll get someone to help you with getting you to a place where you can live, just wait here for a moment,” she said, getting up and about to walk passed you, but stopping and putting an arm on your shoulder and smiling at you. Eventually leaving you in her office alone.
You didn’t mean to peep around but you found yourself gazing over the village through the large window that wrapped itself around most of the office, taking in your apparently new home, and it looked nice, sincerely it was a change of pace from where you were living, the Tanzaku Quarters. You were deep in thought, thinking of how you left your mother to come here, from a whim of a man whom you’ve never met when you were startled by the sound of the door opening. Looking over in that direction you saw Tsunade walk back in, followed by a tall man with white hair and his facemask and his Leaf headband covering a majority of his face.
“Y/n, this is Kakashi, he’ll be assisting you today, Kakashi, this is y/n,” she waved between you both as you walked closer to them.
“She’s Jiraiya's daughter, see to it nothing happens to her.” The news seemed to be shocking to everyone else you’ve encountered except Kakashi. “You two may go now, as much as I would like to talk to you more, we’ll have more time for that later.” Tsunade said, walking back behind her desk and sitting.
“Well it was nice meeting you,” you said with a bow, quickly following Kakashi who was already walking out.
Kakashi didn’t talk much for the beginning of your journey to your new home, but that was okay you were enjoying the quiet. Casually peeping over to look at him, how nice he looked, especially his hair, which made you quite envious, how did he get such nice hair. He must’ve felt you looking at him because as his face looked down towards yours you quickly shifted your gaze to the road ahead of you.
“Are you hungry?” he asked, pausing his walking. Causing you to abruptly stop as well, not wanting to make it seem like you were overly staring at him and how nice he looked.
“Uhh yeah, I honestly can’t remember when the last time I stopped was,” and that was all he needed to hear before walking to his left, you averted your gaze to see where he was walking and it was a little ramen shop named Ichiraku. Kakashi lightly bent over and shifted the hanging sign, making himself a resident on one of many open seats, in fact they were all open. And you sat next to him. Walking helped distract you but now that you two were calmly sitting down together you felt a little nervous to be within such close proximity of this handsome man.
“Kakashi! Welcome back, oh, and you brought a guest!” an older man behind the counter exclaimed in moderate excitement. Overall he seemed friendly though. And didn’t ask or talk much more than that outside of getting your order.
“So, y/n, where exactly are you from?” Asked Kakashi in between bites.
“Tanzaku Quarters, in the Land of Fire,” you said, finishing up your ramen. And as you went to put money on the counter Kakashi was already on it, causing your hands to awkwardly touch, and it lasted longer than it should’ve, making direct eye contact with Kakashi. This small moment had you absolutely flustered, you could feel your face burning.
“I-I got it,” you tried to insist.
“You’re a guest, and I asked you if you wanted to eat, it’s only right that I pay.” That was probably the longest sentence you’ve heard Kakashi speak. But little did you know, Kakashi also had a blush creeping onto his face as well.
Kakashi POV -rewind thirty minutes ago upon first meeting Y/N-
She’s stunning, she’s just standing there by the window but she looks absolutely gorgeous. But I don’t even know her, this attraction is as irrational as it gets.
She and Tsunade seemed to have finished their conversation, I just need to bring her to the apartment I was told to bring her to and watch over her from time to time. No need to elongate the amount of time we spend together.
We’ve only been walking for a short while, why does she look so famished, has she not stopped moving since she left home to come here?
“Are you hungry?” the question slipped out of my mouth before I could even think about them.
And now here we are, fingers touching and I’m getting nervous, what am I fourteen? These emotions don’t make sense but her eyes are so much more beautiful up close.
“Let’s go,” I finally say and begin to walk out, hearing her small footsteps trying to catch up. And when she did, she was walking closer to me, my face feels like it’s on fire, but luckily we’ve made it to the apartments. She hasn’t said anything since we left Ichiraku, so she can either be feeling as awkward as I do, or she has found herself already comfortable being around me and I’m hoping for a little bit of both.
“Here you go,” I said, handing her the keys, after stopping in front of the door.
Your POV
The rest of the walk was quiet, which you didn’t mind, you were used to it by now, you were enjoying it, not so much as the random strangers you didn’t know looking at you, but you were content. You and Kakashi walked up the stairs of an apartment building before he once again abruptly stopped in front of you, turning around and putting his hand out, a set of keys dangling between his fingers.
“Here you go,” he said, waiting for you to take them, so you held out your hand and he dropped them. You unlocked the door and walked in, stopping and turning around.
“Thank you for your help, I really appreciate it,” you said, a blush creeping on your cheeks.
“Now that you know where you’ll be living you should get some rest before adventuring anything else,” was all he said before just walking away. Which confused you because it seemed as though he was relieved to be finished doing this small task. But you couldn’t be too offended, you would probably feel like this was such a drag to do as well if you were in his shoes. You looked around the apartment getting used to your new surroundings, it really wasn’t much but it was comfortable. But something caught your eyes, something silver and small shimmered under the setting sun on the bed.
A set of bells and a small note that read,
“Carry these, as a just in case if you do get lost.” Signed Kakashi, it was wholesome but impractical, there's no way he would always be within distance for him to hear this but you found it really endearing. You smiled and continued to get ready for bed, actually excited to be here now, and excited for what's to come.

Twisted Teeth: Vampire Gaara x Reader Chapter 1 Part 2
"What is it?"
"I need to be getting home before my family begins to worry" I started packing up all of Jiraiya's things that I borrowed and placed them back where I had found them (probably), and begin making my way toward the door.
"I'll be back sometime soon to check up on you!" I rushed out the door, heading for my wagon, full speed ahead on home.
~~~
When I got back no one was the wiser as to what happened and that I was even out so late, they all assumed that I did the smart thing and found a safe place to rest for the night.
My mother and father were so relieved that I was alright and questioned me relentlessly on how the mist villagers treated me, I laughed it off as best I could and assured them that there wasn't any need for concern.
Other than the obvious caution I needed to have around that man everything was more or less fine, the trade went well, I never came upon any bandits or beast along the way (you know other than the vampire but I left that out).
They became calm and my father exclaimed that this would be the last time he would ever be sick again so that I wouldn't need to do dealings like this for the rest of my life ever again.
I felt kinda bummed about it cause it was kind of fun but I wasn't too stressed out over it for the previously mentioned reasons, that I am not a traveling type, I prefer to do business in the comforts of my own village, so I just smiled and humored my father while my brother bombed me with questions like.
"What was it like? Did you see anything "weird", was it really bloody like their second title suggests? Did you meet Zabuza" I answered my brother's questions though my responses weren't as interesting as he had hoped.
"Misty, define "weird" and no and thank the heavens no" His shoulders drooped and his head hanged a bit low as he ew'd himself away to go finish his chores.
I held a small smile on my face, happy to see his cheerful little face again though a little sad that I couldn't provide him with the exciting tales he wanted (not really because that would be I saw messed up stuff that I am much better off without).
"I'm going to go rest a bit then I'll be ready to help with the shop," I told my parents who encouraged me to take the day off instead.
"Aw, but Dad never takes the day off when he gets back..." I whined but they were harder to move than a boulder on this so I let it go.
I sighed with defeat as I went to my room to get undressed and take a quick nap.
~~~~
After such a fulfilling nap, I then deiced to take a walk around the village and hopefully meet up with some friends... and perhaps Naruto.
My face flushed at the thought of seeing my long time crush, I started to wonder if maybe I should have dressed a bit up but then realized it has only really been like a day since he last saw me, there wasn't really any need to make it into something fancy.
"Hey, (Y/n)!" I stopped in my tracks, happily turning to face that loud booming voice in the source of its origins, as my goofy blond friend came jogging up toward me.
"You're finally awake!" He said with a cheerful smile, that was just beaming with those shiny pearls of his, I shot back one of my own as I replied back.
"Yeah, wait you know that I was napping? When did you find out I was back?" His smile became more mischievous as he looped me in for a side hug before placing his arm around my shoulders.
"Come on you know how your brother talks, I found out you were back within like three minutes? Upon your return though when I got to your place you were already resting so I had to wait to welcome you back" Naruto happily responded still keeping his body close to mine.
If I had known he was going to visit me so soon, I would have stayed up a bit longer, darn it all! I did my best as to not blush like a fool after hearing his response but it wasn't easy given how sweet I found it to be.
"You know I wouldn't have minded you waking me up, honestly I feel like maybe I napped for too long, I wasted half of a day when there's still so much I would have liked to have done on my day off" Naruto's smile brightens.
"It's your day off?" I nodded before answering verbally.
"Yeah, but I wanted to return to work as soon as I finished resting, though the folks had other plans" moving his arms off of my shoulder and instead deciding to take my hand into his, Naruto beamed.
"Then you should come to Ramen Ichiraku* with me" I was still hungry from the trip and hadn't grabbed a bite to eat yet in hopes of meeting Naruto there at the shop, so I was happy to see how well this worked out for me.
"I would be delighted to join you" His eyes became a brighter shade of blue as he proceeded to guide me to Ichiraku with our hands still linked together.
Teuchi the ramen shop owner and his daughter greeted us happily and didn't fail to mention that they were happy to see me back so safe and sound, before taking our orders.
While we waited Naruto struck up a bit of a conversation with me regarding my trip.
"So how was your trip to The Mist Village? You didn't run into any trouble did you?" Worry was shining in those blue eyes of his as he stared at me waiting to be reassured that everything went smoothly.
"No, thank God, my trip was decently pleasant, nothing really concerning happened during the trip there and back, everything was handled about as well as one can hope in business" Naruto nodded, thankful to hear that my trip was a safe one.
"You know... I would have gone with you if you had told me you were heading to the Mist village"
"In fact, he almost went anyway when he heard from your brother that your father got sick so you were takin care of business in his stead" Ayame (Teuchi's daughter) teasingly joined in on the conversation as she placed down our orders.
Naruto's face became bright red as he shot off excuses for why he was planning to follow after me on my business trip while I could only smile and stare at how cute I thought he looked and how touched I was that he cared so much.
"As much as I would have loved some company on my little trip, I'm glad you remained here, you already have enough on your hands as is with working hard to be Hokage, you know" Naruto shook his head as he gazed at me seriously.
"All of that can wait! I've been to the Mist Village before and though it's calmed down some, it's still got a lot of ways to go before it's visitor-friendly"  My heart couldn't help but leap and bounce upon seeing how concern and worked up Naruto was over me.
It was all so sweet and very touching that I couldn't help but feel joy, however strange that might sound, my face became red and I took his hand in mine and gave him a quick peck on the cheek, though I really wasn't sure if that was smart.
"Thank you for your concern, now that I know this, next time I would be more than happy to have you come with me" Naruto's face was redder than mine once it dawned on him that I had kissed his cheek.
"A-alright, good...l-lets eat before our food gets cold" I nodded and happily ate my food beside Naruto though sadly once I was done, I had to go.
I had just remembered that I was supposed to pay the vampire a visit, having enjoyed Naruto's company so much I had forgotten all about the vampire for a while.
"Are you sure you can't spend any more time out with me?" His blue eyes gazed at me like a sad puppy but I had to remain strong.
"Yes, I am... Though I'm off work for the day there are still some chores that need to be done, I'm sorry" Naruto shook his head with a small smile sadly playing upon his lips.
"No, it's alright, we'll just hang out some more later, see ya till then" Naruto waved, walking off to do whatever he had planned I suppose.
While I had the pleasure of trying to find something I think of what to do with my vampire "friend", it was a little too late for hunting and I didn't quite like the idea of giving him my own, so I was at a lost on what to do, but.
I still went to visit him as promised just empty-handed since no one had fresh enough caught meat with blood in it at this time.
~~~
"I'm so sorry that I don't have anything for you to eat, I overslept once I got back..." The vampire was still so unreadable that it worried me as to what he might be thinking.
"...it's alright, I'm not so hungry that I will go berserk but I will need to feast some time soon" I nodded, feeling super thankful that he was so calm and understanding while making sure to take note on his warning.
"I promise I'll have something for you tomorrow" Sea-green orbs were locked onto me as the person they were attached to maintained his signature blank expression.
Not going to lie, I wasn't a fan of his unreadable expressions, it made it hard for me to feel comfortable around him, I wish that his eyes would give away his thoughts and feelings like the day earlier today.
"Well... time to change those bandages" I tried to say as cheerfully and upbeat as possible, so that I could appear unfazed by him but... I was not successful.
I went to where I remember placing everything as I felt the vampire's eyes following my every movement... kinda creepy but I suppose understandable enough as to why they were on me, with not much else for him to be doing.
"Some of this might sting, so sorry in advance" I applied the ointments and carefully treated his wounds that were not as healed as I was hoping, I was told that vampires healed at alarming speeds that greatly surpassed humans, I wonder when exactly was that going to kick in?
"May I ask as to why do you even care so much as to dress and bandage my wounds? Surely you must feel that you've done enough, so why go through all of this unnecessary trouble?" This again? I pretty much answered this question of his earlier didn't I?
"I haven't completed my job until I feel that you are healthy enough to take care of yourself"
"...but you don't need to, what's in it for you for when I recover? Are you hoping that I'll reward you with eternal life? I can do that right now if you wish, it would save us the trouble, I'd been fully recovered and you'd have what you were after" I didn't mean to frown and scoff the way I did upon his offer as I did.
I didn't want to possibly offend him with such a reaction, but unfortunately, my body speaks quicker than I think, "I don't want your eternal life, something like that doesn't interest me in the slightest, I just want to help, that's it though I'm sorry, that doesn't include drinking my blood if that's what you need to heal, I'll gladly hunt a rabbit or something in the likes for you tomorrow as promised"
"Why? I'm afraid I don't understand as to why would you just help me with no desire for a reward" I frowned concerningly as I tried to remain understanding of his confusion.
"Because helping someone in itself is it's own reward... so long as that someone doesn't try to harm you or anyone else afterward" I shot him a hopeful look as I strongly hinted at him possibly becoming a good vampire and leaving humans alone.
Though as expected he went silent and his face was as unreadable as ever... could he please see that I'm uncomfortable with not knowing what's going on in that brain of his, please, and toss me a bone?
"Is that what you wish?" My eyes widen at this question as I thought over my response carefully.
05/01/SUN-Early morning | Shopping District, South
With a wallet packed full with money, you strolled through the shopping district. Even though it was slightly cloudy, the weather was pleasant as people still roamed about the district.
From beside you, Izanami looked at the list that she wrote down herself. “So we’re starting with your books...”
“I finished them all in one night.” You said to her, remembering how your knowledge improved despite your eye bags.
“Then we see new weapons in Daidara’s shop.”
"Chie and Yukiko need to catch up."
"And... You need ingredients to make the boxed lunches."
You sighed but you didn't oppose the Dojimas idea that you were making the boxed lunches. Nanako was too excited for the long weekend and even Dojima wanted to spend time with his daughter. Even if you hadn't known them for long, you wanted to try and get them to bond together soon. You had thought to follow Nanako's suggestion and go to Junes instead so you wouldn't cook but you feared that Dojima wouldn't like to listen to the catchy tune over and over again.
Seeing the bookstore, you walked towards it but stopped when you spotted a familiar girl walking outside. She held a book in her hands and by the look of her eyes, she seemed excited by it.
"Marie?" You said to her. She yelped at your call, fumbling over her book rather comically before hiding it behind her back. Her face was flushed deeply with red as she regarded you with a glare.
"Wh-What are you doing surprising me all of a sudden?!" She screeched, not caring about the bystanders watching. "S-Stupid! You're stupid! I hate you!"
You blinked at her outburst before looking down at her book. "I didn't know you know the concept of buying stuff."
One of her eyebrows raised up. "B-Buy? What the heck is that?"
Your eyes widened. "You mean you stole that book?!"
As if on cue, the owner of the bookstore knocked on his window, mouthing some unintelligible words and pointing at Marie's book. If it wasn't for the glass window, you were sure that everyone in the area would hear his cussing.
"How could you have no money when I pay to remember Personas from Margaret?" You questioned her, already fishing out your wallet.
"How should I know?!" She replied back, stepping behind Izanami as if she could stop the man.
Izanami shook her head. "Good grief..."
---
"Don't you have a curfew when you go back to the Velvet Room?" You asked her once you resolved the stolen book problem. Even though the poem book was fairly inexpensive, it already made a dent on your finances just for the books.
Marie's face huffed even more. "What do you take me for? A kid?! Just so you know, I'm not gonna help you when you go back inside that stuffy car!"
You shrugged. "You were the one who had no concept of monetary value."
She choked but she didn't refute back. The poem book that had been the center of trouble was back in her hands, unscathed and paid for. You wondered if she liked to read or write poems.
Beside you, Izanami seemed to have vocalized your thoughts. "Do you like poetry, Marie?"
She stiffened from your Persona's question but her red blush gave her answer away.
"Not much to do in the car unless I come in, huh?" You said to her, lips quirking into a smirk at the thought of the three people inside the limousine just waiting for you to come back. Come to think of it, they had a bunch of drinks inside the vehicle-are they all adults then?
She clicked her tongue and looked away from you. “Don’t take words out of my mouth! It’s not like I wanted for you to come by!”
“Sure…” You drawled out. “Anyway, you want to join me on my shopping spree?”
Her blush slowly died down. “S-Shopping?”
Izanami nodded to the list that she’s holding. “We have quite a few things we need to get now that we have a new team member.”
Marie regarded her with a nod before crossing her arms. “Okay. And it’s not because I’m bored out of my mind waiting in the car.”
You chuckled at her response as you entered Daidara's shop with her. It was apparent that she's never been inside the shop, for her eyes widened at the sight of different weapons and armor that covered the walls. You continued to watch her childlike wonder before Daidara cleared his throat.
You turned to him, turning your back against Marie as you hauled your materials to his counter. "Oh, and Marie? Don't touch anything."
"What?"
Before you could repeat yourself, a crash followed and soon a feminine screech inside the shop.
Your eye twitched as you looked at Daidara with a grimace. "Would taking the most expensive weapons be enough for compensation?"
Behind you, Izanami sighed. "Good grief…"
05/01/SUN-Afternoon | Junes
You had considered your options for buying ingredients. On one hand, you wanted to support local businesses and their products...
On the other hand, maybe Nanako would be happy to hear that you made lunches out of ingredients from Junes.
You decided on the latter, Izanami dragging Marie as she tried to carry the bag of new weapons in one hand.
"What's this place now?" Marie asked you, looking around the underground grocery. Before anyone became suspicious, Izanami handed you the bag as you carried it on your back. The added weight made you groan but you continued on as you grabbed a cart.
"It's a grocery store." You replied to her, rolling the cart to the ingredients section. "I'm gonna cook for my family."
"Family?" Marie tested the word, almost sounding funny when you saw her struggling with it.
"Yeah," you said before realizing how awkward it would be to leave it at that, "is Margaret not like your relative or something?"
Marie shrugged, walking beside you in stride as she looked at the different types of miso paste brands. "She keeps annoying me so I don't think I want her as a relative."
"Huh…" You sighed out, getting the miso base as you went to another section of the store. "What's up with the Velvet Room anyway? Did you want to be inside a car for the rest of your life?"
You didn't hear her for a while except her boots tapping against the floor as your cart was steadily filling with ingredients. Marie was oddly quiet, so quiet that you and Izanami looked back at her. The girl looked like she was deep in thought, her eyebrows drawn in as though she was having an existential crisis.
Before you could ask her if she was okay, a familiar voice called your name. Yosuke was carrying a crate filled with canned tomato sauce as Jiraiya followed him, obviously bored out of his mind. Adorably enough, Jiraiya was wearing the same Junes apron. How did people not freak out over a floating apron, you didn't want to ask.
"What brings you here?" Yosuke asks you before heaving the heavy crate down on the floor. You winced when you heard an audible crack when he straightened his back.
"Just shopping to cook for Golden Week." You replied to him. "Work being too hard on you?"
He groaned tiredly. "No kidding. Just when I thought I can relax, there's a stupid sale that's happening just for the week."
You patted his back as an apology for the pain he experienced and many more in the upcoming week.
"And what are you doing?" Izanami questioned Jiraiya, who was busy fiddling with his apron that surprisingly fitted him.
"Moral support." He said simply. "Can't really touch objects without people thinking Junes is haunted so I try my best. Besides, the apron looks good on me."
"Speaking of…" Izanami trailed off, looking at the apron. It was definitely not Asian size as it stretched to accommodate Jiraya's body. She wasn't aware that there were sizes that were big enough to fit an almost 7 ft. tall being.
"Y'know, you don't have to hide it." Jiraiya said, snapping her out of her thinking. "You'd look good in an apron. Or would you rather wear mine…?"
She let out an aggravated sigh before igniting her fingers with electricity and zapping Jiraiya's side. He let out a high-pitched yelp, his body convulsing before he squirmed away from the goddess. His scarf was burned to a degree as smoke emanated from his body.
"You never change." Izanami said dryly. "And how does the apron fit you? And how is anyone not screaming at the sight of a floating apron?"
Jiraiya made a sound in his throat, an alternative to how he doesn't seem to have a mouth. He then looked down at his apron, a hand lifting and fumbling at the fabric before letting it drop.
"I honestly don't know."
While the Personas were talking, Marie, who was busy watching you comfort a crying boy, went to watch the Personas. She walked over, arms crossed as she stared at the other Persona that belonged to Yosuke.
Jiraiya took notice of the new girl's stare and immediately floated over to her, a flirtatious line ready in him as he--
"Get away from me." Marie said to him in her absolute, most dead voice.
Jiraiya, currently shocked that she could see him, dropped down from his floating stance as he scrambled on the floor. The sight was surprising but comical to Izanami as she laughed at the sight of the ninja frog struggling to recover from the attack.
Hearing Jiraiya’s struggling sounds, you looked to where your Personas are. The sight of Izanami laughing at Jiraiya and Marie staring at the two of them.
“Wait—” Yosuke gasped out, looking at Marie. “She can see them?!”
“Weird story.” You said to him. “Anyway, you think you can ring me up with some ingredients?”
"Huh? O-Oh sure…"
He then led you towards the section that you needed, all the while conversing with you about plans for Golden Week. It soon spiralled into having a talk about personal things that you two like. You felt closer to Yosuke than before.
"Oh yeah… When did our Personas can touch stuff?"
"... No clue."
Persona Time
After walking Marie back home (and quickly explaining about Skill Cards), she plopped down on the sofa as she sighed from how tired she was. Feeling the book inside of her bag, she fished it out and stared at the hardbound cover.
"You seem to have enjoyed your day out."
She flinched then glared at Margaret, the woman looking at her with the annoying stare that she didn't like. It's the type of stare that it makes her feel like Margaret is prying at her secrets. She hates it.
"Shut up." She said to Margaret, not even bothering to put up a fight.
The elder woman chuckled, her nails tapping against the Persona Compendium in an elegant manner before speaking again. "I'll be willing to let you out more as long as you try not to make too much noise inside the room."
Marie choked before glaring at her.
"Like that."
Marie clicked her tongue before looking away. Grabbing her notebook and pencil from her bag, she angrily wrote on the paper, all the while muttering about a certain platinum-blonde woman.
Both Margaret and Igor stared at her, unamused of her usual antiques. They really can't wait for you to come by again.
Can i rq hcs for lady tsuande and jiraiya as adopted parents adopted to a jinchuriki girl?
ADOPTED JINCHURIKI HEADCANONS
Tumblr media
Tsunade & Jiraiya x Daughter!Reader
Warnings: mentions of death and a corpse
I got another request similar to this so they’re gonna be connected. Those headcanons can be found here!
Tumblr media
It all began when they were both sent on a mission to gather intel on a jinchuriki being targeted
What they didn’t expect was for you to be an adorable little girl
Your previous caretaker, who had been an elderly lady that could barely take care of herself had been taking care of you
Until one day she passed and you were left to nothing, scrapping around for food, wandering the woods that surrounded the cabin
Deep down they both knew they couldn’t leave you all alone without any protection
When they approached you, you were a little shy at first but soon became friendly
Going so far as to showing them around your little cabin, to which they found the old lady resting at peace in her bed
A blanket had been thrown over her to which you proudly claimed to have done, saying that she would wake up soon
Their hearts broke at the realization
Tsunade stayed in the room to use her medical ninjutsu to take a look at the corpse
While Jiraiya took you outside for a talk, one that he really didn’t want to give, but had to anyways
So they took you back, Jiraiya and Tsunade taking turns carrying you because your short little legs couldn’t keep up
At one point, you were holding their hands walking in between them
This only increased the feelings they had for each other
You guys looked like the perfect little family
When they got back to the Third, you perched on Jiraiya’ hip, they begged their former sensai to let you stay
He agreed, only under the circumstances that you would be under their care, and they kept that promise
It might not have been the ideal situation but you lived with Tsunade, Jiraiya stopping by and spending time with you often, until you were old enough to live on your own
They did everything they could to make sure you were safe and knew how to control your power as a jinchuriki
They never held that against you, always making sure that you knew that that wasn’t the only thing that defined you
They had you enrolled in the academy and everything
Sometimes even training you separately
Jiraiya taught you how to use the rasengan and Tsunade taught you about medical ninjutsu and helped you build your strength
The two of them would ENCOURAGE you and your love life in your teen years
Jiraiya often teasing you about your crushes
Tsunade giving you advice about feelings and how to go about with them
Overall, they were both great parental figures, loving you as if you were their own either way
11. Waiting P.1
“Philemon seems to enjoy seeing his Wild Cards live on with their lives…”
Persona 4 Golden X FeMC!Reader
4/25/MON-Evening | Dojima Residence
"Do you even know what you're doing?"
You pay no heed to the incorporeal being as you scored the meat with the knife. The residence doesn't have a lot of cook books, probably because of Dojima's absence and Nanako's proficiency based on eggs, so you decided to wing this recipe and hope for the best.
It wouldn't be as bad if it wasn't for the being criticizing the ingredients and your methods.
"This meat isn't full. I've seen pork plumper than this."
"What is this sauce? Why does it taste so sweet?"
"What is this metal contraption that produces fire?"
The grip on your knife only worsened and you were thankful that your hands were free of marinade. The sounds of the TV droned on, reminding you that Nanako is there, sitting attentively and listening to her surroundings.
With a sigh through your nose, you placed the lunch inside the box in an ordered fashion. The ginger pork on the steamed rice was placed in a way the sauce wouldn't be marred as diced spring onions were sprinkled nicely on the pork. In two cup dividers were cherry tomatoes and leftover potato salad. It wasn't like the tonkatsu that you made before but you feel like you've perfected this recipe.
"Success...!" You congratulated yourself. The dish turned out perfectly!
Izanami hummed beside you, looking over at the lunch. "It looks... Adequate."
You let out a tired groan, something that was noticed by Nanako as she began to question what was wrong.
4/26/TUE-Lunchtime | Classroom
Once the teacher dismissed the class for lunch, you sighed as you patted yourself on the back once more for answering for your friends. It was definitely more painful to have Jiraiya and Tomoe argue over the class's heads as Izanami tried to diffuse the situation. It would've been comical if it wasn't for the fact that you had to focus on the lesson and maintain your grades.
You took out your lunch from your bag and looked around. Yosuke was chatting with one of his friends, Chie was busy trying to discreetly teach Tomoe the basic ethics of today. Maybe you should invite one of them for lunch.
A small shriek broke your trail of thought. You turned your head to see Chie cupping her face in her hands as Tomoe tilted her head to the side. From behind you, Jiraiya laughed at the girl's embarrassment as Yosuke groaned at all three of them.
You remember Kou and Akane from music club and you wondered if they were available.
4/28/THU-After School | Chinese Diner Aiya
You remember going to this restaurant with Daisuke yesterday to talk about Kou and ever since, you’ve wanted to try the Rainy Day Mega Beef Bowl Challenge.
The diner was bustling as usual, the exception were the sounds of defeat of people who fell victim to the 3,000 Yen toll and with the few who triumphed over the well-seasoned meat and pounds of rice. Beside you, sitting on a stool, was Izanami, who watched the old man behind the counter yell orders above the noise.
“Chinese...” Izanami started. “I’ve forgotten the taste of baos that my husband would get me.”
You raised your eyebrow. “You have a husband?”
She nodded, though it seemed like she was unsure. “I... think so. I remember somebody whom I was close to...”
You racked your brain on your Shinto beliefs. With the spare time you had, you picked up the myths about the gods since it seemed important to know who was your partner. Before you could say something, a waiter slammed a giant bowl in front of you.
The legendary beef bowl definitely lived up to its name. The mounds of beef seemed to be endless, the mouth-watering seasoned meat suddenly made you sick. And then you remembered that there was rice underneath the protein hell pile.
You and Izanami blinked owlishly at the beef bowl, the noises in and out of the diner droned to a silent static as you seem to cower at the sight of the king of beef bowls.
This feat will be remembered through eternity.
“Izanami,” you whispered to her as you picked up your chopsticks, “make sure this lives on in the history books.”
You didn’t need to look at her to see her nod solemnly. “You will be remembered as a hero.”
You could feel the dread that the beef bowl gives but it doesn’t stop you from separating your sticks and thank the Aiya for this challenge.
> ...
“The beef bowl...” Izanami gasped. “It feels as though it’s taunting you!”
Her words fell deaf as your stomach bulged from the meat. That’s right. Just meat. You couldn’t even make it to the rice as the mountain of meat defeated your over-confidence. Still, despite the grueling defeat, you seemed to have a deeper understanding on how the beef bowl seems to be, the strategy to win the challenge has been embedded in your knowledge, and your diligence paid off to skim off most of the meat.
“Aiyaaa!” The owner drawled out. “Looks like you failed the challenge! Too bad. That’ll be 3,000 Yen.”
You scowled at the man then the beef bowl. At least the materials you sold to Daidara covered your expenses.
4/29/FRI-Evening | Dojima Residence
“Due to the weekend rainfall, clear skies seem unlikely in the area.”
The reporter continued with the weather as you watched it intently. Izanami sat beside you, Nanako opposite of you in front of the table as Dojima relaxed on the couch. A steaming mug of hot chocolate was in your hands, as you refused to eat anything since you were still full from the beef bowl. You were proud to say that you’ve reached a bit of rice as you felt your stats increase.
“A thick fog is expected tonight and remain until tomorrow morning, with heaviest concentration in the Inaba area. Anyone planning to go out tonight should take care. Now for our hourly weather breakdown...”
“More fog, huh...?” Dojima sighed. “There’s been a lot of that lately. Hopefully it’s not a sign of more trouble.”
You didn’t even need to turn around to see his eyes droop in exhaustion. You focused back on the TV only to notice Nanako holding the remote in her hands and switching the channel.
“Ah-ah-ah.” Dojima tutted. “What did I say about changing the channel without asking?”
Before she could even respond, the TV droned about Junes and it being open for Golden Week. Immediately, Nanako perked up at the commercial, singing the theme song as she seemed excited about the establishment.
Izanami chuckled at her enthusiasm. “She’s so precious.”
“Dad!” Nanako exclaimed. “They’re going to be open during Golden Week!”
He laughed a little. “I heard. Do you want to go somewhere during the long holiday?”
Nanako’s eyes widened as she stood up “We can go somewhere?!”
He smiled at his daughter’s enthusiasm, then turned his head to you. “How about it? Got any plans yet?”
You took a cursory glance at Izanami as she nodded her head eagerly. You nodded at the man. “No plans yet.”
“Then let’s all go together somewhere!” Nanako cheered. “Junes! Junes Junes Junes!”
You giggled at her. You haven’t seen her this happy at all lately.
However, Dojima sighed. “You’re sure you want to go Junes? We can go there anytime...”
“Let her have her fun.” You said. “Not like we can spend all Golden Week in the store.”
“Alright alright...” He relented. “Anyway, time for bed. It’s late.”
Nanako’s smile was wiped off her face when she heard that, but she immediately sprung back to life by singing the Junes theme song.
After Nanako went to bed as you bade Dojima a good night, you changed into your pajamas and went up to your room. You pulled back the curtain and looked out the window. The fog rolled in, making you barely see anything.
“The fog settled in fast.” Izanami remarked. “I know we saved Yukiko but I wonder about what will show tonight.”
You drew back the curtain, staring at the TV with a nervous expression. “Probably nothing, but we can’t be too sure.”
You sat back down on the sofa next to Izanami, heaving out a sigh at the events that happened in the castle. “Yukiko is coming back to school tomorrow so we can ask her about how she even got in there.”
Izanami watched your relaxed expression, turning her head to the TV, then turning her head back to you. “What do you think of what her Persona will be?”
You shrugged lazily. “I don’t know, but I do know that we have to show her the ropes when we have free time.”
“You don’t have to stress yourself over this.” She said softly. “There’s always time for that, you’re still young after all. There’s no shame in backing down.”
You stared at Izanami’s yellow eyes, wondering where that caring attitude came from. You... really don’t know how to respond to that.
Before you could even reply something, the TV turned on by itself. The static noises permeated the room but the screen showed nothing. Then, the TV went silent.
“Well, guess that’s that.” You said, standing up from your sitting position. You, frankly, didn’t want to talk more about the awkward self-care so you dragged yourself to your already made futon and lied down. “Night, Izanami.”
Your Persona didn’t even try to bring back the previous conversation, which you were thankful for. She sighed before settling herself on the sofa. “Night, _____.”
Persona Time
| Amagi Inn |
In the personal room of Yukiko inside the Amagi Inn, the 2nd-year girl stirred in her futon before opening her eyes to the sunlight. She let out a tired groan, feeling like her body went on a triathlon but her mind went through the bar exam. All that training didn’t seem to prepare her for the soreness in her muscles and she didn’t even do anything in the television except watch as her friends get burned.
“I should apologize for causing so much trouble...” She murmured to herself, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes.
“O-Oh!” A meek voice gasped in surprise. “Y-You’re awake! Thank g-goodness!”
The voice immediately made Yukiko’s eyes snap open as she sat up and whipped her head to the source of the voice. When her eyes landed on a whole mess of pink, she stiffened.
Thump!
“Oh dear...” The Persona muttered as she watched her master faint and fall asleep again on her futon.
